Root rot or not?

Need an advice guys...
Is that root rot? Becouse it does not smell funky... Girls loook fine... But res temp is little high, so I am worried as fuck...
Just to be sure changed to pure water and added 3% H2O2 (3ml per litre). Dunno should i add some nutrients and good bacterias? Or does H2O2 kill evrything?

Your in right mindset for H202 and I'd probably keep that in my water for a little, root rot is a bitch of a battle in hydro setups,, there are things you can buy to help, I bought some hydroguard and it worked well, just make sure you stay on top of it and don't let it spread, and throughouly clean your system

Go read this thread where I've been helping a guy with serious root rot fix it with peroxide and he's got it beat now. Too much to type up here at bedtime.

I'm the mousy looking guy in the thread. ;)

Good luck!

And Merry Xmas!

:peace:

I hope you correct it as well, root rot is a bitch.
I agree with the posts above.
Hydroguard or cannazym will prevent this from happening but wont really work if the rot is already present.

Poisoned with H2O2, new white root forming but really small and slowly, old ones still same color. If plants recover from that bitch, can they produce good yeild? I am really upset, is it possible that i just clone girls?

Yuck. But it looks like there are plenty of new roots starting to grow. Cut that nasty crap off and clean up the environment.
That is the reason I gave up DWC.

3% H2O2 is not going to help. You need to get at least 29% H2O2. Be very careful handling it. Its a powerful oxidizer unlike the watered down 3%. First thing I would do though is to clean and sterilize that res and equipment.

This will be a timely and precise job,
Your bucket need sterilizing and air pump hose or any hoses, the netpot and the hydro tone needs changing.
Reason being is in dwc the pocket off oxygen and warm damp conditions at the top of the bucket around the netpot is perfect conditions for this to regrow or form some other kind off fungus or bad bacteria to grow.
What I'm saying is give the whole setup a thorough going over every bit to eliminate that mould,if any is remaining then this could cause a later issue.

I heard Botanicare's Hydroguard is really good for root rot and can help them recover really well. Seen a lot of really good reviews on amazon (with people who had it too). I use it with every watering.

Botanicare cannazym and hydroguard are all solutions for prevention, they act as a barrier to protect this from happening not a cure to rectify the problem...them roots need bleaching with peroxide.

First fix your water temps so this stops happening. THen cut off all that dead brown stuff. Then clean. Use Calcium cloride as a bleach to serilize the roots and rez. use 1/10 to 1/20 of what they recommend a mild cleaning solution to be. Remember less is more.

There is plenty of evidence, myself included, that hydroguard helps correct root rot. Here are just a few quotes of people who used HydroGuard for root rot. (there are a shit ton, just thought id post of few)

"Had an issue with root rot in a DWC caused by using limes as an emergency PH control. Was dang sure those roots were done, but 3 days after adding this they were healed. I'm talking new roots, healing of sick roots, explosive vegetative growth. I have no idea what these bacteria are doing, but it sure as hell works!"

"Love it, love it, love it, and so do my plants!! Use as directed and never see root rot again! I had a plant that had been inadvertently neglected, and developed a rather nasty case of root rot. I treated it with Hydroguard, and within 24hrs. the worst of the rot was gone, and the plant was showing signs of new root growth. A few days later I could hardly tell that there had been a problem. This stuff should be at the top of every hydroponic gardeners shopping list!"

"I bought this to address a soil root rot problem I was having and it cleared everything up. I use this in hydro, but I mix it into ferts for houseplants and the garden"

"reat stuff for root rot. For some reason every batch I've gotten from amazon is expired but they are always ready to help me out."

"My bottle is in its fifth month and still going strong. It got rid of a little root rot in one week, and now the roots smell perfect."

"Helped a lot with root rot!"

"Roots were in root rot stage and I thought my tammatoes were gonners, nope purchased hydroguard and my plants were producing healthy new root growth in a day. A great product must buy for any hydroponic growers beginners or pros."

"The best solution for root rot ever!, Your plants will love you for it! Creats huge healthy root mats in deep water culture"
