Root Rot? Happened overnight

HI

See pic but is this root rot? It happened overnight, the airpump hose came apart so no air to air stone is the only bad thing that has happened. On top everything looks green. They were in a rather strong nute solution and I added voodoo juice to my regiment along with 1/4 cup of EWC tea.

Just in case i have the thing soaking in 4 gallons of compost tea airated with 4 air stones. In a day or 2 I will drop the level down to about 2.5 gallons and add nutes.

yea instead of aquashield i use mycogrow from fungi perfecti.

ya the brewed teas work great on root rot

how long does it take?

we have had plenty of root rot problems in our ebb and flow system. 1/2 tbsp. of regular Clorox bleach per 70 gallons in the res. every couple days has solved our issues and our room has never been healthier. we did a lot of research and thought this sounded crazy, but our well water has no chlorine and even if it did it goes away fast with bubblers. we also use enzymes myco and rhizotonic from canna. good luck

when I had an outbreak, I sterilized the system with h2o2, then after a couple days when that evaporated, I added hydroguard. Seemed to work really well. (kill all bacteria, then introduce good bacteria to out compete the bad (pythium))
