I have used Roots for years. Out of the last 8 bags I opened, 6 had adult fungus gnats fly out when I opened the bags. I am done with them. It cost me more to get rid of the gnats than I payed for the bags. I now use Royal Golds Basement mix and it is awsome... super clean, great results. I too live in Oregon but have heard Roots on the east coast is not a problem (could just be the time of year) but I wouldn't chance it personally. Good Luck!

The 707 is meant more for outdoor growing, and it's not new. The regular RO is better for indoor growing without amending it.

Roots is the best soil you can buy In my very honest opinion. It's so popular that its back ordered at allot of places currently, I prefer roots over the foxfarm soils like happy frog and ocean forest because it doesn't get so compact and it already has the perfect perlite ratio right out of the bag, there's coco instead of wood chips. But damn that ocean forest gets so heavy when wet.

I have been using fox farms soils with RO nutes (5ml master feed schedule) but id like to switch to all RO what is the best soil mix? 1 of my friends told me to mix 1 bag of 707 to 2 bag cocoir and that should be a great mix, ne thoughts on that mix?
