root aphids/gnats/mites???

so lots of people are having soil bug problems like me so i thought i would start this thread.

i am completely fustrated with soil bugs in my grow. now i have this super bug that looks like a tiny (10x needed to see them, cannot see them in the soil without) clear/white mite in the soil, nothing on the plant. its slow and the adult in the sticky traps look like fungus gnat adults. so i am concluding soil aphids. although they do not look like the soil aphid pics i have seen.

so here is what i am doing to try to save my Agent orange strain i just started. i have dosed with BT (thought i had gnats again), GoGnats, sm90, spinosad. they just came back the next day.

i pulled everything in veg. took 5 clones, and removed everything from the veg room.
my flower is 1 month from done, but it is already looking tiny, tiny, tiny. i am going to try to finish it, but i may tear it down early and bubble bag or cook it, like i have had to do with my last 4 harvests, including half of my outdoor to thrips.

anyway, since i am in SO OR i live close to the main grow shop that suplies the industry with preditatory bugs. i am bringing them a sample for ID. will post results when i get them. going to see what they say to do.

The name escapes me at the moment but it looks like a predator parasite I have seen in the past. Just may end up being a goodthing.

I hear ya man I didnt want to do soil because of the damn bug issue. Then who to guess I ended up with spring tails in my ebb and grow lol. Atleast the little things arent doing anyhing, these bad boys are ready to bust the tomato cages, one week left till final flush, woot.

I dunno, I found what I think are root aphids on the roots in my DWC system two days ago. They were like, tiny green beetles, with little heads and little legs and little root eating grins on their little faces. The guy at the hydroponics store sold me some "Mosquito Dunks" which are chemical doughnut thing for use in outdoor ponds to kill mosquito larve. I threw 1/4 of one ring in my resevoir yesterday, and today the floor of my tent is covered in dead bugs, and the plants look great. I figure I'll leave it in there for a few more days (everything is veg right now), then take it out and change out some clean water once I'm sure they're all dead. Got em from a clone that was in soil and I moved to hydro. Cheap potting soil has a lot of bugs just waiting to hatch.
