Room Redesign

My main/biggest and still unsolved problem is heat. Ive managed to get control of the added heat from my HID but the surrounding temps are high as is so now Ive got this ac. Based on my setup how would it be best utilized? How will the ac thermostat know to turn on if its not in the same area? If need be I can move the intake fan and its ducting or the 6" boost fan.

Explain or give better pictures of your setup.
I'm not seeing how it's all connected.

The light ducting looks all wrong too long too many turns.

The a/c needs to be in the room with the plants, and that type of single tube portable isn't very good.

If it can't keep up even after you fix the hood ducting then you should look for a portable with two hoses they are way better and more efficient.

Thanks OM, as of now its not connected. The pics go in order of 1)outside view of closet 2)where ac sits outside of grow 3)Shows where the ac is relative to grow 4)shows the cool air vents of ac 5)induction fan, (the in fan goes to that splitter then one vent to a 6" inline fan then to the hood and the other is for fresh air) 6)shows where vents connect to hood. The exhaust side of hood is connected to a 4" squirrel cage fan.

After the lights been on long enough to heat up the room etc is the light ducting/hood hot? Looks to me like you're using too small of an exhaust fan, sucking room air out of the space with the splitter on the input, and using too long and too many turns on the ducting for the hood, and since the a/c sucks air out also it's never really getting a chance to cool the area.

What happens if you disconnect the entire input air line to the hood at the hood input connector so there's much less air resistance for that 4" too small exhaust fan? That might be enough to get by it would easily cut the air resistance for the exhaust in half or more.

What size light a 400?

Once again thanks, yeah its a 4OO, after youre bit of advice about the long ducting I redid the exhaust ducts. The exhaust now goes from the hood to 6" boostfan then squirrel cage fan and out. I just got done with that and the light has been on about 30 mins so imma let it run a while longer and check temps. And after a bit of research Ive learned that its not an air conditioner but rather an air cooler,WTF? Whats the diff?
