Romulan

I grew a pack of Romulan back in 2003ish from Reeferman. It was ok nothing special. Had a slightly grapey taste with im guessing 15%thc based on highs strenghth. Threw nanners in late bloom on the "keeper". I wouldnt grow it again unless it was the original clone only from Romulan Joe from Vancouver island.

Don't know why that's all caps above..

Anyway Single Seed just sent me a couple of Remo Chemos..! (I'm hoping they send along some freebies too)

Single Seed Centre couldn't have been nicer! Never used them before don't know if it's because there was some weird mix up with the Romulan not being available for 5 years and then all of a sudden they sell me two seeds or not ?

Regardless they're much smoother and easier to work with than my last Seedbank, will remember that on my next order

.. still a little pissed off those Romulan didn't crack :/

+1 on the Coastal Seeds NL1 x Romulan. They have the original Romulan, and is bred with Heirloom NL1, which is IBL Pre Soviet Kandahar.
Coastal seeds has the shit.

What is Romberry? Is it crossed to Blueberry? Who's the breeder? Thanks.

Romberry is from the 90s and the people who made that are not around.

Freedom of Seeds sell their version though
As far as Romulan crosses next generation sells a few and might have the Romulan again as it is listed there.

Just saw your question I think mr b answered it above, I think that's the Seedbank I got it from.. I've just harvested it and it's still wet so I haven't had a chance to sample it but it did have a deep blueberry smell while growing

I know one thing about it it's not 50 days like they said I'm in my 9th week and I wanted to take the Second Harvest this morning but I couldn't I checked it closely and there was still too much clear ? Lower buds are really filling in nicely though right now, it looks like a pretty heavy yielder too, glad I took cuts

sure the front is the Romberry tops, the rest of it is not done yet, the rear is White Rhino X Mazar, this is how I dry it after I Bud wash

I wanted to sample some today but it's not dry enough, looks and smells good tho!

Lucky 13 seeds has an romulan IBL for sale, I emailed them about it & got this reply;

"Romulan came to British Columbia in seed form over 40 years ago. The parentage is uncertain although there are lots of guesses. It was never a clone-only strain, although cuttings were certainly passed around BC. However it has always existed in seed form here since it arrived. This seed line was never outcrossed; making it an inbred line.

Anyone care to comment, seems like if it was still floating around BC as an IBL there'd be more people offering it commercially.

Glad to hear that. Hopefully itll make its way back stateside. Its been about 5 years since ive last had it and it was an underrated fav of mine.

Doesn't surprise me at all that there's still cuts going around BC. I was surprised by Lucky 13's claim that it was never cut only & instead is an IBL from BC. That's the first I ever heard of it & I assume if it was an IBL then people like Vic High would have had access/worked with it instead of just the romulan cut he used in romberry.

I'm smoking the Romberry now, it's maybe half cured. I was thinking about doing a smoke report on it soon ?

Tomorrow the Lucky 13 seed Romulan shows here. Gonna take it for a spin.
Will see how it compares to the 90's Rom.
I did grow it out in the 90's and got the seed from Emery.

One another note. My buddy in BC is a clone man not a seed buyer.
However he knows lots of peeps.
Next time i am chatting to him ill see if he can track down seeds.

I like it! I still have a couple of mothers I'm going to start cutting from soon, it's a moderate producer but the smoke is good, tasty, hashy, I like it a lot.

But In fairness I'm a big fan of White Rhino to begin with, but I've never smoked mazar by itself, it doesn't take anything away from the White Rhino, if anything it adds a little more of a hash influence

I like to try out new breeder gear so if I see someone put up more than 15 strains I usually will buy to check out there work.
Also see delivery time.That is important to me. Anything I buy from hd arrives in 2 days. See if the seeds are mature and last but not least how they grow to see how stable and how they smoke.
