rockwool questions

i have never used rockwool before and i wanted to know when i first get the rockwool should i soak the rockwool first or not?

the ph of grodan rockwool cubes is really high so u need to let sit in phed water for atleast 24 hrs for the best result

i am using a hydro machine that i made...it is a 10 gallon fish tank that i blacked out the sides on, then i took 2 inch styrofoam and cut six 3 inch holes into so i could insert the net pots and have about 1 inch in the water i am using rockwool as a medium to grow in. i have 6 plants and have idea on what kind just some bag seeds, i didnt want toorder some good seeds untill i know what iam doing so i dont waste some good seeds...
