Rockwool cubes for clones going into hempy bucket

I have 6 blue dream clones that have had roots for 1 week (poking out of 1" rockwool cubes) and have now been in my hempy buckets for 1 week. The plants dont necessarily be doing bad but they also aren't doing anything. No new growth. Not getting taller. Nothing. Just hanging out. I have read a bunch of threads on hempy buckets but no one ever mentions whether or not they start their clones in rockwool cubes or not. They also say to water daily, but with the rockwool cube wont this just over saturate the cube which will never come close to drying and the roots will never go hunting for water thus never making it to the resivor?

I switched to hempy buckets about 6 months or so ago,it takes a while for the roots to hit the resevior .There will be no doubt when they get there, they will explode with new growth.I have cut my veg time by 25% by switching.Just be patient ,it's worth the wait!!

I use Rockwool solely and must say that xtreme mykos and azos have really kick started root growth. I too have issues with clones though, I struggle to get them to root quickly. Are you feeding them at all?

My only complaint with rockwool cubes is that they have a tendency to hold too much water.

My current system, although with seedlings not clones, is to water the cube with nutrient solution and flick out about enough so they are light enough to need a water in 24hours time under lights with good temps.

It always suprises me that the cube can loose quite a bit of water before the seedlings wilt point and thus with this i can start giving daily water cycles whilst still providing decent oxygen to the roots.

Tricky at first but a piece of pizza once you get a good system down :-)

I take my clones out of the sprayer and start them in the toe of an old sock filled with soil, this is then put in the bucket of perlite. The roots will start in the soil and grow through the sock, they seem to grow better than putting them straight into the perlite. It seems that the roots get off to a stronger start this way.
