RO vs. Store Bought Distilled? I know it's been asked before but...

Ok I know this question has been asked a few times before and I've read those threads but still didn't quite get the answer I was looking for. I currently buy distilled water from the store at $.88/gallon(I'd make my own but my house has a water softener). I can get 5 gallons of RO water from the machine at albertson's for only $1.00.

Cost wise RO looks much better. Are there any benefits of distilled water that would outweigh the cost factor? Or have I been a dumbass buying distilled water all this time when I could be saving a bunch of $$$ buying the RO?

distilled is more expensive because it cost more to produce. otherwise they both are just pure water.

Unless u have a Hydro grow, or ur tap water is so deadly not even a human can drink it I say use tap water. But tat just my Op.

One thing that i would like to know since the subject has raised, is my brits water filter on my spout okay for plants?

yep, perfectly fine, but more expensive replacing the cartridges in the long run.
