ro system and deionizer question

Oi mates. Hope everyone's doing week.
I just purchased an ro system with a deionizer because I have well water that's untreated and i don't wanna take the chance hurting my ladies! So basically I purchased this filter from htgsupply.com. now I use the fox farm nutes regime with cha ching being the only soluble I use. I read that I have to add Cal magazine now that I'm using an ro system. Does anyone else have experience with using an ro system and does anyone have advice on any cal mag I should try and how much.

Hey bud, you should pick up a bottle of Cal/Mag. R/O systems are great but the one drawback is that you actually take out some solids that you want in your water like calcium and magnesium. I would get Botanicare's Cal/Mag Plus. Seems to be one of the better lines. I mix it in as a percentage of my nutrient solution ppm. So if I want 1000ppm in week 2 of flower I will mix my nutes to 800ppm and add 200ppm of Cal/Mag. Some guys use 5-10mL per gallon or add 150ppm to every watering. Just depends. Gotta look at your nutrient line as well. Some have solid calcium and magnesium in their base nutes. I haven't used Fox Farms in a long time and never Cha Ching so you'll have to check on that yourself.

Also, if you didn't get a prefilter with your R/O system then you need to let your water sit out for a day or 2 hours with an airstone in order to remove the chlorine adn fluoride. R/O systems do not remove these chemicals; that's why they sell the pre-filters.

First you need to test the TDS in your untreated well water, and, whether it has any iron. If it does, you will need a permanganite prefilter or the iron will quickly clog your RO membrane, ruining it.

DI is strictly for final polish of highly purified RO water (~ < 50ppms). Unless your RO system has a booster pump, it will reject ~ 90% of the TDS. Meaning if your well water is 500 TDS and the RO rejects 90% you are left with 50 TDS for the DI to final filter. Much above 50 and your DI will clog pretty quickly, depending on whether you are a personal use grower, or run 10 x 10or greater tents

his advice looks good where as yours makes no sense. you might wanna learn how to read or better explain why he has no clue. your explanation has nothing to do with what the OP asked or what phillip said. you are just rambling about pointless info.
