RIU Meet And Greet (Possibly)

Hey all, the wife and I have been kicking around an idea of hosting a little meet and greet for MI RIU.org members. I was thinking it would be nice to go to a park, take over a pavilion, grill some food and chill. I just want to get an idea of who would be down possibly for next month or the month after. Also a venue idea if anyone has one, i am in Macomb so any of the metro parks are cool with me or if somone with property wanted to host i would not oppose ( i would but my house is less that 1000sq/ft and my land is mostly wooded).

i always love the idea of this chico, and i'd be more than down for it if i were any where near your area..
i know that there are a ton of michiganlanders on here, so maybe some of them would also be down with the bbq idea..

thanks buddy, i think it will help people build real and trustworthy contacts in Michigan, that and who dosen't like BBQ? Shit i would break out my family rib recipes for you guys...

i just think it would be cool to finally be able to put some faces to the names... i know i have pictures in my head of what some of the people i talk to on the regular either look like or act like or something along those lines, and to be able to actually see if the face goes with the online persona would be awesome to say the least... i'd like to see just how close my minds eye is to reality..

Just saw this thread, I love the idea but some of us are up in the surrounding areas of traverse and it would be hike from up here for a bbq. Not shooting down the idea just trying to figure out how i'm going to make it. haha

yeah, that has crossed my mind, i wish i had the resources to pull off a hash bash. Although there is a park near my house that has stages and tons of space....they always host a music fest every summer and then rent it out for private venues...so maybe in the future.

It's a good idea, I think it would be a fun day. A nice low key meet or whatever. It'd be a long drive from here as well, ill keep an eye on this tho.

ill do it if its in the metro area. i promised some people that i would do the last meetup but it was so far up north that i didnt end up going, and i feel horrible.

i didn't think that it sounded rude rzza, and i was thinking the same thing.. who cares is they are watching, hi piggy piggy... its only a bbq, you'd be breaking no laws by going to a bbq, and being that michigan is a legal state, it be much safer for all those who attend then doing so in a non legal state like one of the other 35..

but if one person brought out a joint and got busted, those attending would be help accountable as well because you/we have THC in our system, some 24 hours a day.
I'd love to meet up some day but it would be at the mall In TC or someplace really public and then make it to a more discreet location and let the information flow.

never gona happen.. iv tried a 420 party here on the oregon coast, with crabing , fishing, water sking. and nope no one..

Id rather not see chico get discouraged before ideas even flow about it. It's a cool idea- a small meet as opposed to a big 420 party.

i will host this at my house so we dont have to be on public property. im in oakland county (mmj friendly city). we can bbq and smoke as many reefers as we like. anyone interested say so in this thread and we can get it going through pm's.
