Rick Simpson Oil >> Tincture

I made up a huge batch of Rick Simpson Oil and put them into 200 Gelcaps with Coconut Oil filler.

Right after a patient of mine asked if i could make tincture instead... I was curious has anyone had any experience dissolving Rick Simpson Oil into Everclear to make a tincture?

I don't care for anything rick simpson but yes you can dissolve it in everclear....I though everyone did it like that...

RSO is made form everclear or the like high proof alcohol

qwiso/iso is made from isopropyl rubbing alcohol

BHO is made from butane extraction

tinctures are made from either glycerin or high proof alcohol (ex green dragon)

I also made RSO recently.. Some really powerful stuff !! I used everclear and a homemade chiller and was able to reclaim 75% of the alcohol. At $30 for 1.75 litre bottle it adds up.. Using 8 0z's of bud I ended up with almost exactly 1 oz of oil.. I haven't tried diluting the oil with everclear but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It might really be a good thing as the oil is so potent. I use the typical "grain of rice" dosage about an hour before bed.. I am still stoned when I crawl out of bed 9 - 10 hours later.. I've made green dragon. I have no idea how people can actually drink that shit; it's nasty as fuck!! But it is really good to use topically.

In fairness he changes his method so often its hard to be sure. Last I checked he was doing a long soak in naphtha.

But an ever clear/ethanol extraction is called qwet

I used to respect the phoenix tears and others following Rick until I learnt of the average price charged to a patient with cancer . I know parents here of a minor and those people charged them 30,000 + for oil throughout a year and I gave them more than they bought for free . I was so disgusted of the lets get rich with medical cannabis oil . The oil was used well before Rick and us were ever thought of and nobody deserves credit like he claims .. Shit imagine some nut running about saying he discovered opium derivatives . Sad thing is the majority of oil out there claimed to be rso is just piss poor and nowhere near what he uses .

There should be no problem soaking them, it should work. Just to let everyone know if you plan on using capsules, don't make more than a week supply and refrigerate. I made a full months worth and even in the fridge by the third week they were leaking through the seams and all stuck together

Really? I found Rick over 2 years ago and his recipe has not changed...at all? You talking abut another Rick Simpson?

You do realize that there is a group in the states that are using his name for their own purposes...don't you? I have spoken with the man several times and I'll tell ya...your way off on this one

I'm not gonna start bashing rick especially since he can't defend himself.. all I'm gonna say is, his methods have changed many times...you me and potsnob are talking bout the same rick

One of my favorite quotes of his is that you don't have to purge any solvent based extraction because cannabinoids neutralize all toxins on contact.

Same guy and group and none the less I spoke with him too while he was in the Honduras hiding out . Even got cut off and it took him some time to get back on the horn for our radio program and in the end I am not changing my thoughts as I know how his posse works here in Michigan and they are all in direct contact with the man !

in any event, politics aside...

trying to re-liquify RSO with Everclear seems to work until it cools and then its just everclear with little chunks of RSO floating around.

I have dissolved RSO in everclear 190 proof many times to make infused products. If your RSO is as finely strained as it should be, it will dissolve almost completely. Then it can be strained again to make it fully liquid. Just use a double boiler set-up, take your time and it will we work with no problems.
