RI approved three qualified applicants for compassion centers

In January 2011, the Department approved eighteen compassion center applications for review. A technical review committee evaluated and scored each application using criteria specified in the Medical Marijuana Act. The Department also received public input on the applications at a public hearing and by email and mail. The review process led the Department to approve three qualified applicants for registration as a compassion center:

  • Greenleaf Compassionate Care Center Inc.
  • Summit Medical Compassion Center
  • The Thomas C. Slater Compassion Center
These applicants may now apply for a registration certificate to operate a compassion center in Rhode Island. Once a compassion center is licensed and operational, we will accept requests from registered qualifying patients to designate that center as a caregiver.

Hey buddy.... Your link kinda makes it to hard to find the CC info... Started the thread Yes, we are getting hosed once again... that will take you to the Projo.com article about the site... People are getting pissed since these centers charge street prices...so much for non-profit or compassion...

If we don't boycott these bastards, are rights to grow or use CG's will be gone in 3 to 9 months after they open...

they removed the links to the apps they are no longer up on the dept of health web site it was replaced with what i posted

This is RI, they don't want some money...THEY WANT IT ALL!!!! They want to control the entire market, jack up the prices because they think that pot is like crack and people will sell their house and families to get it... Really??? I've been smoking for almost 30 years and have never jones that bad for some nugs... If you read up on your history, you'd realize the even though the goverment says they don't believe in Monopolies....gee...what are they trying to create. Just like Thomas Jefferson said (you know the guy that helped draft the Constitution) America needs a revolution every 75 years in order to keep the government in check... How long ago was the last one???

PS... Most monopolies in America were in all actuality started by the Goverment, with the funding of your tax dollars. It's hard to think that some old fuddy duddies two hundred plus years ago saw this eventuality. That is why they designed the government to dissolve in two hundred years from the documents inception and switch the system of Government over to the populous voting.... (You know, a system that is run by the people and for the people) Yet, the time frame is up, and very few people know about it because well... Very few poeple like to read anymore...

Then knew as our country grew, people would get drunk with power and try to control thier lives like they did which is why this country was formed... They were so smart, they even designed a way for the countries citizens to revolt without bloodshed.

It's the clause that allows America's citizens to refuse to pay their taxes if they don't agree with what the government was doing. The only flaw with that logic is, they could've never imagined that a majority of their citizens would become so stupid that they would simply lie down in do nothing.... They actually thought we would become smarter, not dumber, you know...evolve!!!! Oh well, you could always flood the market with a series of tree grows, cripple the CC's and finally feel what its like to stand up for yourselves, you know take a risk.

Look at us, we are such pussies we are affraid to go to jail in order to fight for something worth fighting for!!! Mean while, a bunch of fuckin farmers risked their lives in pursuit of the liberties we've been handing over to corporate America and Big Brother for the past 100 years.... Yup! We winners....lol

Every time I find out more about how big buissness works ,the more im actually amazed at how smart these people are. But I don't fret there are good people out there. Just not as many as the shit heads. I hear ya man, as a matter of fact I like ya. I feel the good will win and even if its not our moment we will have our time. This is our time the way I look at it, we got garunteed grow rights till jan. 2013. Im gonna learn, teach, grow, and if they try to fuck us, I will drop out of the program at said time. Go underground fuck em. In that much time if you can't learn everything about odor, control , electrical, lights, everyting u need to know, to grow without anyone ever knowing , well you'll have missed your chance. The Time is now people. OUR TIME IS NOW!!!

isn't it interesting that the phrase is "drunk with power"??? no one has ever been accused of being "high" or "stoned" with or on power... funny thing, that...
