Rhubarb Grower Problems Pics Inside

I'm starting a regular garden again this year, and rhubarb will probably be part of it.
My only guess is, bigger pot = bigger plant. I guess there could be other factors though,
like feeding habits, too much water, not enough water, too much nutes, not enough nutes....

I always grew my vegetables in an actual garden, so the plants never had size restrictions for their roots.
Then followed the feeding instructions on the nutrients package.

chop those nice red stalks...those are good eating! leave the other ones to go. they will ripen. dont eat the leaves they are toxic!! next year they will come back double that size. you can also chop the plant in half at the end of the year...re plant the other half and it should grow nicely also....

try and replant in the ground if you can...they will take over. If not look for a larger pot.

want a recipe let me know.

Are they new plants this year, if so you should not harvest any this year.
What variety are they, some of the strawberry rhubarb varieties have small stems.
For best growth, you should plant them in the ground not in pots.

I love rhubarb custard pie. The season is coming soon.
