rez chillers

I have a 20 site aerponics system with a 8 gal res. When it's flooded its 16 gal. The pump is in the resivoir pumping 24/7, how important to u think a chiller is? and why cant i just throw some icecubes in it if its getting to warm?

what is the water temp at? i mean if you throw in to many ice cubes it will shock your roots and then your screwd. any sudden increase in change is not going to be good. keep things constant and hopefully an airstone will help your issue. what sort of setup will you be running? as long as your light isnt to close to your bucket and your room isnt 110 i feel the water temp should be alright. good luck
