This is a negative review on pH alkaline filters.

Before I wasted the 20 bucks I searched to see if I could find anyone else who tried one of these post mineral filters with no luck. So I purchased a LiquaGen post pH alkaline mineral filter: click to see===> pH Aklaline filter by LiquaGen
The Alkaline filter simply gives back minerals such as ionized calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium ion, which were taken away while purifying the water.

It was my plan to use a pH alkaline to slightly raise pH so that I could add a little bit of CaMg+ or molasses to balance my pH at between 6.0 - 7.0. . The pH of my RO water using the above listed filter is 11.3 so I thought "alright man this is going to work!!!"

But nothing will lower the pH of this water! I added 4 drops of pH down per gallon as a purity test, it dropped the pH from 11.3 to 11. Then I tried 1 tsp of Berr Rabbit Molasses per gallon but the pH was still 10.8! So then I tested 4 drops of pH down into 1 cup of water and the pH was over 9 still!!

Review:
This filter isn't good for us. 1 tsp of Molasses per gallon is way more than I was ever willing to add to the water but even that wouldn't drop the pH. Don't waste your money or time, just add what you want to the water yourself.
