Hi,
I have been reading Ed Rosenthal's new book that came out this spring, the Marijuana Grower's Handbook (official Oaksterdam course book..heh).
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZUY16G/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=0932551319&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0E3EH1T9K2RHYBQ9KZ7B
My question is, he mentions how during the flowering period that THC can be increased substantially in direct relation to the amount of UV-B light the plants receive. This stimulates and increases THC production...at least thats what he claims.
I looked into Reptilian UV-B heat lamps used to heat and assist reptiles. They make these in T-5 lamps or CFL lamps. I was thinking about putting up a side lighting panel of T-5 lamps...one of the 4' long ones, 8 lamp ones. Go half UV-B reptile lamps, half 6500k cool flouro tubes (to supplement lighting in flower). What do you think? Is this a good idea?

Has anyone heard of using UV-B lamps or had direct experience with them? Do they really work?
Ed claims you should supplement 1/10 of your flowering wattage with UV-B lamps. ie if your using 1-1000w HID light for flower, you should also use 1-100w Reptile UV-B lamp.
Thoughts, comments?
Thanks!
