Good morning,

I just bought a 20lb Co2 tank yesterday along with a kit.

I need some expertise here..

I have a canfan on the ground that vents into the ceiling, and an ozone generator.

Normally I leave em both on 24 hours a day for venting purposes and odor removal.

But, Now since I got Co2 I need to seal my room up so that no gas gets out.

I still would like to the air scrubber inside of the room, is this ok?

Will the carbon from the air scrubber fuck the co2 up or?

And can I still run the ozone generator?

I have looked all over the internet for these answers..no go.

One last thing, If I kept my air scrubber in place so that it vents through the ceiling, what is the best schedule?

I need a step by step spray and exhaust schedule.

Any experienced help will be much appreciated.

Its confusing as all hell!!!

dont know what to do..

And I wanna set it all up this Morning.

Thank you!!! :-P

just have you fans cut off 3 times a day while your co2 kicks in. what i usally do is string a line around my garden with a feew holes in it so the co2 leaks out the entire way around the garden then 15min of that bam the fan comes on and away we go

Ok, so how long should I run my c02 tank when the light comes on?

like 15 minutes? And then afterwards let the c02 soak a while? and then when should I kick in my exhaust fan? and for how long. Or do i actually need to exhaust?

I need a detailed schedule..Thank you.

k my lights turn on and the exaust fan cuts out 1 hr after i soak my girls in co2 timer on for 15min i leave room sealed with no air flo for 1hr then kick fans back in 6 hrs later reapeat then again about 2 hours before lights go out have ehaust and intakes running through out the night this is what i do i average about 2 oz per plant as a rule sometimes more sometimes less but more or less at the 2 oz mark

Yea,
I think I got it figured out.

Might get a controller someday.

Thanks for your reply :)

to answer what you asked to begin with yes you can run your scrubber stand alone and ozone i use both together and im sure i dont have to tell you if you already set up that much be carefull with ozone without venting. the whole point of co2 is to not vent but some people like to shoot it outside

Thanks for your reply.

I already know how much co2 I need to put in my garden.

But, Need a proven schedule to know when to turn on my exhaust fan/air scrubber in the right manner so that I will not lose all that expensive c02.

Its a tricky situation. :hump:
this is from the bottom of that link :

Two Timers:

If you are using an exhaust fan in conjunction with CO2, you will need to synchronize the two so that the fan doesn’t come on at the same time as the CO2 and suck it out of the room before it has a chance to be used by the plants. Because of the precision required to this, you would need to use either digital timers or repeat cycle timers. In this situation, you would set the fan timer to come on long enough to vent the room completely, usually 15-30 minutes provided the fan has been sized properly. The CO2 timer would be set to come on right after the fan turns off. You would program the timers to repeat this cycle every hour during the light cycle

someone just mentioned temps, and he is correct, co2 should be used ONLY when you Must have a sealed room, now lets say your room is sealed you need to supplement the bare minimum of co2 because you dont have intake coming in, but co2 at 1500ppm is a waste of money only because a plant will not use elevated levels at normal grow room temps (72-78F) only at temps of 85F-95F (yes i just said it 95 degrees) will the plants utilize large doses of co2. so if you need to seal a room or your temps are out of control is when you should use it, if you have the option of running a traditional exhaust then that will be fine, anythng above 500ppm of co2 in the air is useless at temps under 85F. you know why plants slow down growth at high temps? the stomata closes, stomata is responsible for co2 intake, at temps of 85F with standard amounts of co2 that fresh air brings in will not be enough to keep the stomata open, now at high temps, higher doses of co2 will not only open the stomata but its like opening your nostrals and breathing thru an oxygen mask after running a marathon, optimal performance, this is the exact time that you will see better growth rates. i hope this helps

You hit the nail on the head...

I know its hot in my room 90-95 degrees running 1500 ppm of co2..

Man, do they ever grow!!!

Good stuff Mang :)
