I dont like that legislation
To each their own, I can respect that, what may I ask do you disagree with?
Yeah so... what legislation? Is there more than just the front page to read? Do i need to log in to that site to read more details?

I'm obviously 100% in support of removing cannabis from the controlled substances act entirely, but...

what's the catch?

edit: also: this needs to be mass-marketed and go viral. I'd suggest facebook, twitter, high times, and all other cannabis related forums.

LOL kinda what I thought at 1st about the "legislation" comment, its simply a petition to have the term cannabis removed from the controlled substances act, I have shared on fb from my personal account and alot of forums, he probably doesnt like that I said "be it pro or con" and as much as I hated putting it in there I only felt it was necessary because as we want compromise from the government and prohibitionist, we must be willing to admit there could be some downsides as well, as much as I hated writing that line. Also the catch is if removed it would still not be "technically" legal, but it would be decriminalized nationwide, and receive no funding from the war on drugs, as well as be able to be prescribed without penalty by doctors and researched properly without interference from our federal government, leaving the doors open to our favorite plant ;)

The petitions on whitehouse.gov are only to get a response from Obama. No legislation follows. Obama hasn't kept his promise to respond to them anyway.

Its just that the big pharmaceutical companies will take over just like every prescription drug.

Pharmaceuticals and companies alike are another story, and as much as I dont like either of them (only because they dont try to cure anything) to argue against decriminalizing pot, nationwide because of big pharma is kinda trivial in my eyes, not in comparrison to the greater goods so to speak, everything from our justice system, to peoples well being, the economical and environmental impacts, and just plain out peace of mind, big pharma is the least of my concerns, but thank you for detailing your comment further like I said to each their own and I can respect that ;)
