remote drip set up help

I want to run a watering set up for my plants with ,a drip set up.It will be remote and my water will be in a 35 gallon drum that will be 10 feet up a tree for preashure it will have a 1/2 inch line from drum to plants then a 1/4 inch line from 1/2 inch to the plants .I do not want to over water.How do i control the drip.How much water should each plant get for the week in the heat of the summer.they will be in 10 -15 gallon pots what size would be best.It will be a organic grow.i will be puting some organic nuts in the water to thanks

GOT it found a 9 volt batt. powerd water timer to hook to drum or the solar powerd water time NICE!!!!!!!
