I was just sitting down smoking with my stepdad and we were talking about the strain he grew when I was a kid. Mom hated it, but my stepdad was a crazy ass big biker ... he kinda did his own thing. Many things you can surprisingly look past and forgive when you watch a man turn old, weak and frail. We sit and smoke and I think about all the amazing memories I had as a child as the bad fade with every puff.
He just recently got his license and is now allowed to grow his own, for MANY chronic pain reasons ... I just think it's better for him than the alcohol. His happy with one or the other.
Oh yeah ... old strains. lol I got lost. Still kinda faded. Smoking on some Blue Dream. Oh Boy!
My main memory of the old strains was as a teenager. I remember sneaking in and snagging a couple nuggs out of the jar. I was scared if it I did it too close to them coming home they would know because just opening the jar made the entire house reek. He was telling me how frustrated he is that he has to wait 56-70-90 or more days for a finished product. And after I did a bunch of research ... it sounds like he was growing a Skunk #1 variation ... which was very prominent amongst growers in his time. In my research I found out they have many VERY early finishing strains. And their descriptions sound just like the herb I remember.
I think I'm going to get me a couple of the Skunk lines for my breeding.
What are the best Skunk crosses that you all know of so far? Who are the best breeders? I don't want an F1. I want IBL's and BX's only.
