I over dried my buds, now I'm looking for a way to rehydate them without taking away the natural smell and taste. I've tried orange peels and it made it smell and taste like oranges.

they have these ball things at headshops that you drop in water and theres like a sponge inside or something. and then you put it in your jar and it just give the jar more moisture so the buds become moist. never done it with good bud ive done it with real dry reg before but thats it

In the winter humidity levels get real low here, like in the 20's%. My buds dried crispy in 3 days instead of the usual 7-10
days. So I use a can of peaches. Oranges work good too. Put your bud in a large sealable container. I use a big Tupperware
bowl with a lid. I put a half-cup of fruit into a small coffee cup and stand that cup up inside the bowl. Seal the top and check in 24 hours.
After 36 hours my 28 grams of crispy-critter was 29.5 grams of non-crispy. PS -- I never met anyone who didn't appreciate the taste of orange bud.

I put a pievce of paper towel the size of a business card, very damp but not dripping wet, in a quart jar of loosely packed buds overnight. Check and repeat if needed. Has no effect on anything just brings back the dankiness.

Any fruits are a bad idea as they can over-moisturize your harvest leading to mold. Never heard of the tortilla thing, wouldn't even try that one. Best bet is a leaf or two from a currently growing plant, not even sure the specis of the plant would matter but I definitely wouldn't try bread or fruits of any kind. Either leaves or a piece of paper towel stuck to the lid of the jar.

if you don't have fresh leaf or bud, a little piece of a tortilla works great, no smell or taste, just a dry piece of tortilla when you take it out.
