!!!REGENERATION!!! Keeping your babies around forever???

I harvested a plant then let it regrow. It grew out again and budded. I ended up harvesting with my next crop so I know that it can regenerate for more then one harvest. I let some of the.small bottom buds stay on after the harvest and by the time these buds matured it had shot out four new shoots which eventually grew up again. But I live in the tropics so...

although..... if this is possible, why can't farmers regenerate their cornfields/beanfields to save millions of dollars on seed. sorry this was interesting reading but I can't buy that, not in the harsh winters that we experience here.
because in order for us to harvest our corn and bean fields the plant must be dead and the seeds must be dry...you can regenerate plants but you cant bring them back from the dead...i wish we could though, like you said, we would save loads of money on seed, seed is so fuckin expensive. but all places in the world dont have harsh winters so...i guess regenerating plants that you harvest before they are dead could work but you would have to time the harvest right cuz in the end the regeneration doesnt happen with short days..

i have 2 plants that i have regenerated, both indoors though. 1 ive had 2 harvests from and the other ive had 3 harvests..not too sure how old they are, around a year old would be a good estimate.
