Hi,

So I am considering using these on the 400w Cool Sun 6" air cooled lights I have (3 in veg, 3 in flower -- room is still in construction atm). Are they worth the $60 each? With 6 lights, that'd be $360 for the set of em, and I'm trying to decide if I really need them or not. I will have a 9000 btu Mitsubishi ductless AC in the room and its a small room so if you have experience with these types of heat shield products for lights please comment and let me know what you think!

Thanks!

I am running 2000W of lights in a small room with a CO2 generator and a Mitsubishi 9000 BTU AC and the AC can handle it.

Nice man! Exactly the type of person who I wanted to hear from! How do you like those Mitsubishi ductless models? My local shop guy referred me to them and from what I read about them they seem badass, the model we got has the super duper platinum filter that helps with smell and some iSEE deal that targets specific zone hotspots in the room for cool/heating. Like the Mitsubishi FE09 or some model...something like 26 SEER. Thats retarded efficient. Plus gets me the $1500 federal economic stimulus tax credit for energy efficient cooling. Dude is installing it along with our intake and exahust booster fans, speed controllers, and dampeners this week sometime (for the cooling of the lights)

What do you think of yours?

It is fucking sweet... The fan runs all the time on both the blower and compressor and the compressor ramps up to the needed activity level to keep things cool. 26-27 seer. Quiet as hell... The compressor sounds like a patio ceiling fan on the exterior so nobody is going to wonder about the unit noise. It cost me 3100 including installation but I think it will be well worth it.
