Mirrors reflect the light, they just don't seal the heat or block as much heat as mylar which is why there not used, or when used in a combination with mirrors and mylar. I am very curious to see where you got these percentages as well....

Ok. Lets say that Mirrors are 100% reflective for shits and giggles. Why the hell would I put them in my grow room? I know dam well I would break one a week, They are costly and Screw that. I can build a room out of 1"x2" wood, some Panda film and a Zipper. Panda film is supposed to be 95% reflective on the white side, and shields 100% of the light from penitrating from the black side. For me this is the cats meow. But if you want to build your house out of glass, have a Ball.

I have not read one thing on what i covered my room with. I have installed mirrors. my walls and celing are flat white and 4ft of the walls are covered in mirrors. Has any one got any experience with using them ? Better than milar right ?
hey seems like your getting alot of flack here.........not be a dick but everyones pretty much right mirrors are not ideal and theres better easyer things to use......

I read somewhere that mirrors will reflect the light back in a beam but mylor and paint will refeclt the light back in all dirctions something about how it diffuses the light and reflects it back out in all directions less intense but more evenly spread out........

Like if you signal a plane with a mirror the light reflects back as a small beam of light. you dont want beams of light reflecting back and fourth in your grow space you want the light to reflect evenly across your area.....just somting to think about.......and yes i heard that it also absorbs light too......not to mention they are heavy hard to install and can easly break....so when you look at all the pros and cons seems like its all cons and no pros really..........but if you already did it then ya seems like your just fishing for people to tell you what you did is right....

Fuck those kids who are hating, You gotta do you! Theres more than a million ways to harvest cannabis, Take your own route! I wouldn't use mirrors when mylar refelcts 99.9% light and heat, Its what i use. But stand apart kidd! be original! Grow your cannabis don't let these forums grow your herb!

There isnt a right or wrong way to grow cannabis, There is a efficient and inefficient way. Simply speaking.. I was saying if dude wanted to go the extra mile, that just makes him that much more dedicated, However its not the most efficient route. The reason why people come to forums is to help analize the most efficent techniques fellow growers experience. Whether he puts them into play is all on him. He decided that white walls were more convient and equally as efficient. I feel in my opinion he saved some time and hassle which gives him more time to spend on the crops.

Too bad the condition of your walls is the least important thing in growing grade A buds. I enjoy helping people out and all but jesus, the amount of stupid ass ideas and repeating questions that come up on the forum are staggering. It ain't rocket science people. It takes time, knowledge, and money to grow the good stuff. IF your deficient in any of those things your crop will likely suffer.

DJ Short once said, "You can grow the finest cannabis in the world without nutrients. However its not the most efficient route." "The only downfall is yield and speedy growth aren't present" In summary you can get quality herb with just water and dank soil.. Some people don't even have reflective walls and are harvesting fine herb.. There is a wrong way to do everything, But your looking at cannabis from a maximum yielding standpoint. The true growers don't look for yield, Just represent the finest connoisseur quality. Of course yield has alot of influence for almost every grower anowdays, Not me though. Homies will plant in soil just feed water and molasses and get some of the finer grown herbs ive smoked.

the dank soil will have nutrients in it.cannabis needs nutrients.you try and grow plants in shit soil using no nutrients and see what happens.i agree that quality is always more important than yield tho.

Thanks for agreeing.. Yes all soil has nutrients, But i was talking more along the lines of supplemental feeding. Like going out and buying extra nutes or feeding regimens. Saying that it increases quality is simply not true! Water, Molasses & Good Potting soil is a pretty straight start for any beginner. I just would have never learned to take care of cannabis properly on a $150 pack of 10 seeds or anything...
