I see this on my plants frequently. Not always though, and even when I do see it the plants are usually otherwise healthy. I have also read that it is a deficiency, but also that some strains exhibit the trait normally. What I have read is that it could be N or P deficiency. Are the red stems throughout, or more towards the top of the plant? The latter would suggest the deficiency more strongly.

Reddish stems can be a symptom of Phosphorus deficiency, but in your case it's just genetics. Many strains with reddish stems will only have red on thinner, younger stems which will grow out of it eventually.

My skunkberry have it. My Northern Lights and Jock Horror don't. I've sort of connected it to cool temps in the past. Now I'm pretty sure its the genetics, though I suppose it could be a deficiency associated with the skunkberry and not the others. They're all looking pretty good though.
