Red Congolese - Where to find

Hi there! I'm in search of seeds for Red Congolese: https://www.leafly.com/strains/red-congolese

I have looked everywhere and even contacted Reeferman Seeds who I believe originally sold these, later under the strain name of John Sinclair.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to find some original Red Congolese seeds or maybe even some close crosses?

I've been interested in Congolese sativas myself. Back to the Congo from Richard williams is the closest thing I've seen to that cross http://hempdepot.ca/seeds/RichardWilliams/index.html

As an update, I found the attached website claiming to sell clones of Red Congolese: https://darkknightclones.com/product/red-congolese/.

I put in an order for the clone but haven't heard back since submitting payment so starting to think it may have been too good to be true. I'll update if it's legit!

I was gonna say the same thing. He has got some stuff that made my step father drool. Snowhigh has an incredible land race list.

SnowHigh absolutely did have a Red Congolese, no idea if it still exists. I think Cali Connoisseur had one too.

Don't know about Red Congo. There was talk of an Angolan Red from way back on icmag. I think the guy who shared seed did not want it commercialised , and has since passed. Pretty sure seed was passed around and crossed. Considering the two countries ajoin, be logical to make a cross. Rip La Mano Negra.

I too was in search of Red Congo seeds and couldnt come across them for years. I managed to find a dispensary who had the sativa version, full of red hairs with the fuzzy peach smell/taste. I smoke it as my daytime strain exclusively for 1.5 years without building up a tolerance.

After years and many ounces, I received an order that was full of buds.... with seeds! I actually chopped through the first one and almost shit myself as I thought that was my one and only chance to have the Red Congo. I carefully hunted through the two ounces packages I had ordered and I ended up with over 50 seeds in total.

I've grown out half a dozen and they have some variance within them. One grew out to be extremely lemon/citrus flavored:


The one I've kept cloning for over a year now is closer to the original fuzzy peach. Last years outdoor grew over 14ft:
