Why do ppl use the purple t5 bulbs? What does that do for the plant exactly? And you use it strictly during bloom, right? Just curious, I've been using them awhile now. They look awesome, lol.

Your plant thrives in certain ways depending on the spectrum of light. So certain colours allow for better veging or better flowering.

I've never heard of purple. People use 6500k cool white (blue) to replicate spring-time veg sunlight, and 3200k warm white (red) to simulate autumn and the sun lower on the horizon.

Purple sounds more like many LEDs (although LED is shifting toward whiter, fuller spectrum).
