Are you mechanicly inclined? I pick up "trash"
like a dryer, put a new heating coil or whatever
it needs on it and sell it.People throw away
stuff and buy new stuff rather than fix it.

if you can solder, you can by an Xbox 360 for like $30 on ebay, with with a disc read error or RROD and fix them...it only costs about $8-$15 to fix an RROD system and they resell for about $100 depending on the model... Youtube has a million videos showing exactly what to do, i have been thinking about doing this myself after i fixed mine...i was nervouse at first but after doing one i am confident.

Water heater - strip out all the copper pipping(condos are a good site)
Car batteries
*if you are friends w/ and appliance tech or w/ an appliance shop or even better have access to freon fridges are good, people seem to replace them when they just need a freon boost

I used to fix 'broken' NES game consoles by replacing the 72 pin connectors. Free + $2.00 part = $30 on ebay.

you can buy bags of cans off of bumbs by the weight and pay half of what the metal is worth, Getting that many cans is a lot of work. make sure they don't try to fill any with sand, it will make a diffrent sound so listen for it. Good luck.

what bum is going to sell u his cans for half price?

You can get old paper and use it to make new paper then sell the paper.
LOL thats a terrible idea for making money

my son cleans out houses that are in foreclosure, he makes 100-200 per house. he gets a lot of good flea market stuff from the houses and scraps any non running appliances. u can start by contacting banks and realtors. he also cuts grass, cleans yards and does minor repairs to make the home more appealing

oddly enough, a trip to my local dump actually yields quite a bit of recyclables...
just call ahead to make sure it's okay with them though...some dumps for some odd reason don't want you to remove the garbage...i donno why....

EDIT: bring a stout coal shovel, rake, and pickaxe...thick rubber gloves/boots/waders help too if your squeamish
maybe a face filter and goggles...it gets messy some days
