Any body ever use recycled tires as an ebb and flo medium? They look like they could work, they are in the gardedn dept of home depot. The recycled tires dont look like tires lol. They are chopped up into little pellets and sold as a mulch. I heard they work well like a hydroton almost i think. I thinking of doing it. :fire:Beats mail order and i ain going to a hydro shop. I hear their are cops all over them!

I wonder whar the res hydro experts like A.L.BFUCT have to say. I am going to do it i thin now in a dwc. I 100 litrt setup with 10 net pots. I also have to find a nutrient that is gonna work good. I will need quantity and quality w/o spending an arm and leg. Right now i use stealth hydro nutes and superthrive. I want to try something a little better but i have noe complaints as a first time grower. Though my growth a little slo, yet as i said first time grower here, there was some mishandling!
