Don't beat yourself up too much, not a grower out there who hasn't had a grow gone wrong. You also make a great point, you learn something I think, with every success & failure. That's part of the fun of growing.
Yea i know what you mean. When I look back now at when I first started with this grow I see how ignorant I actually was. I mean this is my 1st grow and i can already say I have learned alot and it isnt even finished yet :)

Also, i have some bloom nutes which i was about to start using on my next watering...is that okay or maybe too soon? Keep in mind that i dont have any veg nutes cuz i think that my soil has all nutes that vegging plant needs
Don't start bloom nutes yet. Wait until the stretch is over.

Hey guys, it's me again. I have another update to share, this time I fed her just slightly (1/2 of the recommended dose of really light organic nutes). At first i thought she liked it but then I noticed one of new leaves on the main cola (one on the left) turned purple :O
Do you think it's connected to that feeding, or maybe its got something to do with light since the main cola is still the highest despite the lst.
No more bloom nutes. That caused the purple.

Thanks. I used metal coat hangers. Straighten them an cut pieces about as deep as your pot. Bend a little hook an stick in the soil. I am pinning them down.

Yea i see the metal hanger part in the pic but I dont get how u managed to secure it to the ground, was it by simply sticking it to the soil or...? what do you mean by cut pieces? sorry, english is not my 1st language :D

I used wire cutters to cut pieces. I just stuck it in the soil. Cut each piece as long as your pot is deep.
I agree, but the day after I fed her I found that purple leaf on the ground and she started to bloom...i guess the plant somehow topped itself or something :S
Btw about nutes, now I feed her almost regularly, every other watering, which is about every 8-9 days.

Agan, thank you but this size you see in th pic is acceptable, maybe a few inches taller but im happy as it is for such a small grow

Just tips on how to grow a bigger auto. You will cry when you see how much a bud shrinks when it dries.

Looks good. Have fun.

It's me again. The plant is now 8 weeks old despite the fact it lost the first 4 weeks as a seedling. It is now in her second week of flowering and you can clearly see the pistils shooting out of everywhere. One thing bothers me however...i noticed she is very thirsty and started watering her every 3 days (plus feeding every other watering). I left pics in attachments so feel free to comment. How long do you think i have left?

a long time, i don't even call it "flowering" till the stretch stops.
looks good, don't worry about them drinking a lot, worry if they stop drinking a lot

Well i call it flowering cuz i sawpistils and thats like the official start of the phase, or so i heard...
Yea i know its funny how people advise not to leave your plants sit in run off, well my plant drinks all the run off in 2 min when I water her so I dont have those worries. btw for a gallon pot, is it okay to water with 0.5l?

And one another thing...people have been telling me she lost those 4 weeks in a manner that she's on a clock and will be over soon, well now that u say I have along way to go, does it mean I just prolonged her life cycle from lets say normal 9 weeks to 13 weeks from seed?

no, it means i just got up and am still trying to consume coffee and carbs.
autos have a set life span, and anything you do to slow them down isn't a good thing, and doesn't add to anything.
i don't have a huge amount of experience with them, but am growing some right now (in the Vault's comparative grow) and learning a lot. you should come read the thread, a lot of good auto info there.
i would call that the start of flower. in a photoperiod i would say you have 6 weeks, maybe 2 months to go, as thats an auto, i'd say about a month,

Hahah yea i know the feeling just had my first coffee although its 2pm where I'm from xd

Well i kinda calculated it would be done untill 5th of december so if youre right then my calculationsa are okay. :)

Anyway do you think its okay to water her with 0.5l? I noticed that when I pour water the soil immediately pushes it through but also drinks it back in about 2 mins, could that be associated with me forgetting to mix perlite from the start or?
