Recommendations On Potent and High Yield Indica Strains

Hey Guys!

I've been doing some research on strains to begin my indoor grow. What I'm looking for in a strain is 1.) Indica or Indica Dominant Hybrid - 2.) High Potency (THC 20%-25%) and - 3.) High Yield. Some strains that I've looked at are Aurora Indica, Northern Lights, Black Domina, and Animal Cookies.

Any feedback on the strains that I've mention or suggestions on other strains to look at would be highly appreciated, Thanks!

From your list you can't go wrong with Northern Lights. Great yield and smoke just do some research on the breeder you buy from to make sure it's legit.

If you're just starting out I'd start with stable dutch/euro genetics. Nirvana, female seeds, delicious, paradise, etc.. Euro stuff may not be as fire as some of our US strains but they've had the legality to work those strains forever, I always notice the strength and vigor compared to some US "newer" strains and they can be more forgiving. And if the Animal Cookies you mention is BCBD then avoid at all cost...

Nirvana White Widow gave me a great cut I'll probably keep in my garden forever. Easy, solid grower at 7 weeks flower to boot.

I'm just in the first few weeks of my first grow too. Personally I went with Royal Queen Seeds Northern Lights from Herbies Head Shop but have heard really great things about Nirvana. No complaints so far aside from my own error. From what I gathered it seems like great strong high yielding indica dominant strain that's a little more forgiving for beginners and fits most grow setups well.

I certainly am not the most qualified person to give you a proper answer, but I'll give you my 0.01p

For our first grow (I assume this will be your first grow, but tell me if I'm wrong ) we always want that perfect strain that will give us potency, taste and yield, but the perfect strain is difficult to find and miracles won't always happen. But finding a good and solid genetic is the first way to success, then, pheno hunting among those genetics is the best way

I couldn't tell you much about BC and Sensi Seeds since I've never grown any of their strains, but BC seems to have a shady reputation. Lots of hermie, of wich brand new Animal Cookies is famous for, there's a thread about it I think. In my mind, Sensi Seeds have lost that kind of "aura" they used to have in the past. I wouldn't grow any of their strains, exception maybe for the Jack Herer and NL5 x Haze from Sensi Seeds (and Amnesia White, but it is White Label, not really Sensi), wich are fu***** expensive, and maybe the God Bud and Ultimate Purple from BC.

I couldn't tell about Aurora Indica. The Northern Lights is a monument. I don't think you could go wrong with it. Pretty average/decent yield and potency as far as I know, great oldschool taste. But there's a bunch of much more powerful indica hybrids today ;)
Black Domina  I had my eyes on it in the begining of my "growing exeprience" Never tested it, but it seems like a very decent genetic, but not really famous for its yield ...
I read pretty awful posts/review about that BC Animal Cookies. I'd say, for now, to stay away from it. If you wanna grow some Girls Scoot Cookies, I think there's a bunch of more qualified american breeders for that, but I'm not myself qualified to advise you on this strain .

As far as I'm concerned, I can suggest you, without a doubt, the Kosher Kush and Og Lemon Kush from DNA Genetics/Reserva Privada, wich are truely magnificent strains. Both of them are Og Kush genetics, so they don't really grow like pure indicas, even if they're indica dominant . Kosher Kush is not that of a great yielder, but the taste of this pure dankness is worth it. Lemon Og can hold the comparison with the Kosher. Great lemon/fuel taste, better yielder. Both of them were amazing resin producers. You definitely can't go wrong with those two strains, I give you my word. Here's some shots of the Koshers I did in 2014. Unfortunately I didn't have any of the Lemon OG :

I also grow a beautiful indica dominant strain, called No Name, from Medical Seeds. It is a Sensi Star x Cheese cross. A real beauty, only one good pheno out of three feminized beans though, but a keeper pheno, incredible cheesy taste and smell, great potency, and above average yield. Here's some shots of it :

I grew those Kosher Kush and No Name for my first grow ever, and I've had amazing results, so no need to say they are pretty easy strains to grow.

So this was my 0.01p, hoping this helped you making a choice. And sorry for the broken English, I'm from far away
