Once again I am asking for your grower knowledge as Im currently running out of ideas so please bear with me. Thanks to this forum my current ongoing Autoflower is absolutely flourishing but as the title suggests that's not why Im here today. Aforementioned Auto is 3 weeks away from harvest and another Auto was germinated on the 11th of July. Along with these two im also mainlining a 2 month old Photoperiod plant.

The plan was to harvest this current Auto then harvest another Auto (11th July one) THEN put the mainlined photo period into flower. My estimation will be that by the time (11th July) Auto is harvested we will be well into October which is the beginning of summer in this part of the world. Summer here is super harsh and last year I had the ungodly displeasure of flowering an auto where the buds not only ended up being airy but the room where grow tent was situated became unbearably hot.

Since this photoperiod will be finishing its flowering during peak 45 degree summer I figured a tiny AC unit will be in order. What do you more experienced growers think my course of action should be?. Don't want to burn too much electricity ACing entire room either therefore a tiny AC unit which will just about keep the grow tent below 25 degrees would be ideal imo.

Appreciate everyone that cares enough to read this far lol love this forum!

I am open to getting rid of the newly germed Auto if y'all think flowering the photo in its place would be a wiser idea. What ever gets me the best yield within the time/temp constraints will be my preference.

Don't knownof any tiny acs that actually work. I have an air hose one.... it was expensive and expensive to run. I would recommend either getting a mini split.... or aiting til winter

Can you halt a photo for a lengthy period of time? Ie keep it as small as possible till lets say march of next year? For us winter begins around late march. Otherwise ill just yeet this new Auto. Breaks my heart though cause im starting to become fond of Autos lol But this photo has really tight node structure which is telling me to keep it alive! idk wtf to do.

Where do you vent the heat into? Same room the tent is in?

You need to vent out of the room , and bring in fresh air.

Yep don't really have much of a choice with that unless I drill hole into solid brick wall. As it is right now, Air inside the tent goes into charcoal filter which is then sucked out into the room.

The heat will just build up in the room, and most likely a tiny AC wouldn't do much and it would generate heat too

Yes I actually didn't think of this. AC would have to combat with so much heat it would be pointless. Looks like ill have no choice but to YEET the auto and flower the photoperiod. I hate to cull healthy plants but yield is a priority for me right now because of the small growing window we have.

Is there a window in the room? How is the humidity?

Humidity in australia isn't really an issue because we tend to hover between 40-70% TOPS. Ive never seen RH go above 80% here. There is a window but the outside is like 45+ scorching dry heat lol. Aussie summers are no joke.

You might consider using evaporative cooler, cheaper to run, works well in dry areas, but you will need to leave the window open for fresh air. It might bring temps down into the 30s. Use cold water if you chose to go that route.

30s would still be well beyond fox tailing territory so im afraid I won't have a choice. Ill keep both the new Auto and photo going for another Month or so when my current flowering Auto finishes and see how it goes from there.
