This is a review from a few seed banks I just ordered from: First off I am not employed by anyone in this review nor am I bias towards any seed company out there. I used my own money to buy seeds from everyone listed below. All seeds I order Sat April 9th 2011.

About me: I've been growing a few years now and have ordered from nirvanashop.com about 2 years ago with good results, of about 85% pop rate out of 100 seeds I had ordered at that time.

This is a new year and I wanted to try some new strains out so I figured I would order seed's from a few different banks out there to see what they had to offer. Let the soggy began:

All seeds were ordered at the same time and I live on the west coast of the USA. I will add details as reviews change:
Review's in order of seeds that got to me in the mailbox.

First up: cannabisseeds.com
I bought the $200 500 seed special. I've heard horrendous things about this seed bank but I gave them a shot anyhow. First the shipping was crazy fast took total time of 3 days (sent airmail). Came in a bubble pack in tubes. This is how they claim it is crush proof, and unless someone stomps on the package they are correct. Seed Count came in correctly at 100 seeds a tube. All seeds seem to be about the same size nice and fat. The one thing that concerns me the most is that the seeds all look the same even when they are to be different strains. There support is non existent as I emailed a few times to make sure they got my order and never received anything back. not even a conformation of my order via email. (worrisome to say the least)

Ordered $45, 10 seeds of purple widow: Heard mixed reviews about this company. Shipping was very fast at 4 days I got the beans. This was by far the most unusual shipping style I've seen yet. They hot glued X's to heavy paper (red circle in picture) then used cotton back tape to hold them in place. Very effective and no seeds arrived crushed, was not very professional and left a lot to be desired. All seeds were significantly smaller then CS's seeds and not very unformed in size or color with 14 total seeds, but 2 were runts seeds(junk) guess that counts as freebies? They did send email updates as to when order was received and shipped so no need for me to contact them.

I have used them in the past with success but by far the slowest shipping they show order going out today so it took them 1 full week just to ship!!! I'll update when I actually get the seeds. Customer service is good and responded in a fair manner.marijuana-seeds.nl.jpgCseeds.com.jpg

One thing I never understand, why do people show the way a company sends the seeds . Shhhhh!!!

I said the same thing myself about the shipping before 2layz, but someone pointed out that the cops can order shit too. I guess they are right.

Yeah no shit, fuckin asshats.

If you stop a moment and think about it there really isn't any reason to be upset about someone mentioning how beans are shipped.

Take the U.S. Customs Department and the DEA for example, and for that fact every nations equivalent. With their MASSIVE budgets don't you think they could afford to place an order from every seed vendor using every one of each seed vendor's shipping options and then not only have an example of each in hand to examine and inspect but also be able to put pictures of what to watch for, for all the mail/package handlers to see so they knew what to look for and also have the business names used on the return addresses? If stopping beans were a high priority few would be getting through too the people who order them.

If the various governments really want to know how beans are shipped, they already know. If not then it is a case of while they would naturally like to stop their coming into countries where they are illegal, in this day and age where biological, chemical, radiological threats, and various other things that are seen as being more of a true danger or of vastly higher importance, are given such high priority that beans are left to the roll of the dice level of priority, almost pure chance if they will be discovered or not.

Governments are dumb but do not underestimate them and consider them to be totally stupid and that everyone in them is a total buffoon. As I said, if they really want to know how beans are shipped, they already know. If they do not know or if they know but still leave them as such a low priority to snatch them when they are shipped it is only because they know they have much bigger fish to fry, much more important things to look for and due to limitations of employees and time they just cannot nab everything, even if in some cases they know what to look for.

What happens if they find beans? They take them and someone gets a letter, no one get's busted. Big deal. What did they actually accomplish? Almost nothing but to first scare and then upset someone. What happens if while searching for every pack of beans they can find they miss something dangerous and something happens? They look pretty bad. They look pretty inept. There will be inquiries, if bad enough possibly even at the Congressional level, and there will be sacrificial lambs that take the fall. How do they look if they do find and stop something dangerous or at least make sure that nothing dangerous is being shipped in? They look like heroes, people receive pats on the back and possibly bonuses and promotions.

It's all a matter of priorities and finding beans are a much lower priority than many, many other things. If not, far fewer would end up being delivered.

It would be a rather foolish thing to believe that seed vendors are a bunch of Jethro Bodine double-naught spy types who are capable of out thinking and fooling entire governmental agencies. As long as they do not make things bloody obvious or stamp ILLEGAL MARIJUANA SEEDS on whatever packaging they use, most orders will continue to get through.

So chill and stop worrying that someone might give away some seed vendor's Secret Squirrel shipping method.

Bright Top, thanks for the explanation, that I am not giving away any trade secrets of any sorts. I'm guessing there are a few million packages that enter the USA that are plain marked every day. Your just playing the odds that your package will not be pulled out of the millions.

Now back to the reviews
nirvanashop.com seeds came today. First of all, the shipping was discreet, and fast, with a free "willy wallet". After they put them in the mail it took 2 days to get to me. (8 days if you add total time of getting order ready before shipping). The packaging was by far the most professional and the seeds were not able to move around. I ordered super skunk from them and most of the seeds look to be different sizes, and colors. 15% appear to be runt seeds. The bad part is they only sent half of my order!!! Guess it's time for a ticket.

I'll be updating germination rates next. And any response from Nirvanashop on the other half of my order.

I've ordered from cannabisseeds.com before and received the feminized white widow seeds I ordered in good time, only out of the twelve two turned out to be male, which I caught before disaster struck. I ordered super silver haze (fem) on 19Apr11 and as yet haven't received a thing not even a confirmation email and they just don't reply when you inquire about your order, even though the money has been received. Don't mess with these rascals in England.

I too have not recieved my order from cs, placed order in February. The order from Nirvana did take forever for me as well. My most recent order is from attitude, so let's see how long that one takes.

I placed an order with CS on 4/20 - no confirmation or anything- CC did get billed. They showed up on 5/2 as advertized- fat beans - 12 to a vial with the order code on them..at $19-29( fem) for 12, not a bad deal for my outdor plans-Super Silver HAze ( fem), Juicy Fruit, Jack Herer, Durban Poison and Big Bud-no shipping charges either- so for $105 I got 60 fat beans, w 12 fems. Hope they are what they said they are...

How did CSseeds.com germination go? Any thoughts or comments about the seeds?

Order placed about 7 days from receiving, no confirmation, card charged, waited anxiously after reading bad reviews.

Received package from somewhat notorious Cannabis Seeds . com
About 7 days for transport, but received seeds in nondescript package, in crush proof vial.
The 12 seeds (exact amount ordered) look normal, little fat brown lovely looking seeds. Marked with strain number I ordered.
Price and Shipping seemed adequate so far - though price depends on quality of seeds, age, viability, genetics and if strain ordered is received.
Those things will tell in time. So a qualified satisfied so far (dependent on future germ rates, genetics and smoke quality)

UPDATE: I know I haven't really put much info out after I got the beans but I wanted them to grow out and make sure I can evaluate honestly. After/close to harvest I'll put pictures up.
Please keep in mind all plants are grown out doors and northern CA weather has been some of the strangest in many years it was winter up through the first week of summer if that gives you an idea.

Marijuana-seeds.nl
The PW Germination rate was 90%, Plants grew strong with 6 female 2 males. Very wispy buds that were indeed purple. Little to no odder. Lost most of the purple color after dried. I would never buy again.

Cannabissedds.com
First off... even though they claimed they sent 5 different strains. It looks all the exact same when grown out (this is also what I imagined would happen as the seeds were all identical!). No difference in any of them at all. Germination rate was around 72-76% with about 10% that germinated being very week plants (cut down). Out of all the plants the ones that made it, did grow the strongest, tallest. I wont comment on the buds yet but at this point in time they are very wispie, still over 4 weeks to go though. I would never buy again.

Nirvanashop.com
Did come though as usual. Germination rates were around 85% a bit lower then I had hoped. Most plants started off weak, but after making it to veg stage took off. Buds are very dense, resin looks insane, and the aroma is very nice. Still over 4 weeks to go. Most likely to get my business in the future again.
