REBREATHER: Will it work?

Okay so I am quite high and I am thinking shit up left and right. I thought this idea would be a good one to share. I call it the re-breather. Basically I would take the out take and filter it and use it for the intake. To clear things up a bit I made a beautiful diagram in MS paint.

So tell me, will it work?

That would work fine, although you could just outake the air straight into the carbon filter and out into the rest of the room or area you are growing in, that way if you ever need to add something onto your intake.. you are free to do that :)

I was just wondering if it would be fresh air. I'm trying to think of a way to cool the air as it passes through.

That wont work, you'll just be recycling spent air. The purpose of ventilation is to bring in new air at 300ppm co2 during light and 02 during dark.

Yeah this definitely isn't meant for big areas. Just a small area. It could keep the smell down and recycle the air. ;)

Special Ops do it. They call it the rebreather and they use it for underwater missions to produce no bubbles. They use activated carbon.

Herbrose, how will this not work?

Dude i tell you now.. this will definetly work.. (air cools as it moves & the carbon will remove the smell).

AKA, it works. :)

Air doesnt cool as it moves, but as it will be moving outside the grow area, it will cool.. besides that.. i just thought of a brilliant idea :)

The rebreather ICE :P

Hold on xD

I think that this could be something really great for small cab growers. I don't like venting my exhaust into my room. So I could just vent it back into the box. I'm so excited. LOL.

Ignore my drawing abilities, i rushed this xD

I now present to you the rebreather ICE! :P

As the air moves through the vent.. which goes into the water & ice.. it would be cooled.. :)

The vent would have to be fully submerged for this to work efficiently. the water would be recyclable as you could just have two batches of ice cubes.

one batch in process of freezing and the other being used..

The melted ice could just be refrozen :)

The plants consume c02 and turn it into plant material . They consume 02 and turn it into plant material. If you have a closed sytem where's the new co2 and o2 gonna come from?

Can be solved. Put a line from your co2 going into the rebreather.

I've pondered this idea as well. But it seems counterintuitive that air cools while passing through activated carbon. The hot air you are exhausting has to pass through the activated carbon, which should cause friction, thus warming the air. But who knows, I am no expert on the thermodynamics of air passing through activated carbon. But also, the plants use CO2 and emit O2, so if you recycle the air without a fresh air intake or CO2 supply, that would cut off much needed CO2 (theoretically that is, I again have no real facts).

Just my stoned thoughts
