I keep on seeing all you new guys asking if miracle grow is good to use? Why would you want to use such of a indecent product for a plant that you want to be the best taisting most top notch shit you could grow? Do a search and find a local HYDRO store and buy the products the pothead in the seat tells you is best.

For me its cheap available and My first time I'm not growing fucking sweet tooth or some super duper right now Just trying to get the feel for growing and how the plant acts before buying hi quality seeds nutes and switching from soil to hydro Its some peoples learning curve. Oh yeah I use the search but sometimes it takes you off to weird articles that just have a key word in it.

No need to bash users of Miracle Grow. It works fine for the beginner. Not everyone has a local hydro shop and others are wary of ordering online. Give 'em a break.

LOL I like your responces. To tell you the truth im a newb my self. I guess when you grow a plant for 4 months I would rather get bomb taisting shit my self then waisting money on energy, "Miracle Grow", and time.

mg organic and alaska fish emulsion "omri listed" is all cheap and quality and can b purchased at lowes / depot . however mg schultz and all the like nuted potting soil really does suck and will inevitably ruin all ure hard work :leaf:

i've been using mg for 2 years now, i did try the specialty soils from the hydro stores, the only difference i could tell was a lighter wallet.

Some people don't like Miracle Grow because it has to much nutrients. If you read the bag it says it's peat moss, wood chips, and paltry if (in California and Texas). I think in other states they might use straw in stead of wood chips. Not to many people have issues with their organic mix. Its just the one with 3 month time released nutrients. It's not bad nutrients, but it's to hot for seedlings. Ocean Forest is recommended because they replaced the bird shit with worm & bat shit. It's not as hot, so it's easier to germinate seeds with it. But some people will think even Ocean Forest is to hot. They say, fuck dirt, go hydro. Or they'll use gel, coco husk, pure peat moss, or even just perlite.

Any or no growing medium is fine. Its the level of nutrients you want to look out for. If it's a seedling and all you have if Miracle Grow or say you picked it up on a whim and don't feel like taking it back, then just flush the soil with a bit with warm water first. Now it's won't be as rich and the seedlings can better handle it. Remember not to add anything for a little while. Let it ask you to feed it and watch it closely.

I spend more time worrying about the genetics. You can give a ruderalis all the best nutrients in the world, but it won't beat a Sativa grown in bargain bin soil, no matter what. Get good seeds and relax. you gonna get high.

yea not everyone has a local store an last i checked it costs more to ship a good soil than it costs to buy. And despite what ppl say not all the Home Depot's an Lowes carry the same products. it just so happens my lowes started carrying Root Organics. And I know that the other Lowes a county over does not carry it. So if Miracle grow works for you why hate on personal cultivation.
BTW if you were to show any interest in growing pot at my local hydro/organics store they will deny you service. So i wouldnt go searching for traditional pot related items at some shops as they will despise you for it and possibly rat you out to cops that frequent the stores just to find out who buys drug paraphenalia

I've actually had consistently good results with miracle grow too. I've only used it for 4 grows or so, but so far so good. I've grown the best shit I've ever had, both in taste and potency.
I usually plant seeds and younger plants in miracle grow with alot of perlite mixed in 50/50 or so, and it always works really well. Then when I tansplant the plants into bigger containers near the end of their vegging, they get more soil and less perlite. Maybe the trick is just using alot more perlite and diluting the soil? :leaf:

Oh, and some of the hydro stores around here give small discounts if you have your medical marijuana card!

I also think Miracle Grow is garbage. I use Foxfarm soil and get great results.
great results but way overpriced. even living close to the SC manufacturing plant i pay 20 bucks for 2 cubic feet. i could use a cheaper soil and make subcools super soil and mix with starter soil for cheaper than buying 10 cubic feet of FF. just sayin i prefer to know exactly whats in the soil compared to approximations guaranteed by test results 2 weeks after the factory opened. They really have no idea exactly what is in any batch so why risk it when you know exactly whats in your batch

Sweet tooth is a bullsh.. high to me. Never liked it, hardly even thought it was considered a big timer.
