Really having a hard time here...

So I've been looking for weeks on what seed bank and strain to go with. I first got some Snow White by Nirvana, from Attitude. Great service and stealth by the way. But now I am trying to figure out what else I should go with. I'm trying to get together a small stock before I go any further. Here's my choices/options I have chosen for the bank. With some pro's and con's

Attitude - PROs: Already ordered from with great success, decent pricing, good selection. CONs: No good deals for free seeds, feminized are way too expensive and they don't offer that many to a pack

Sensible Seeds - PROs: Great selection, great pricing, tons of free seeds, multiple seed packs. CONs: Can take 2 -3 weeks for delivery

BCSeedKing - PROs: great freebie offers, great pricing. CONs: Lack of stealth, lack of selection, no feminized.

Ok, now to the strains. Really need some help with this one!

Greenhouse Seeds- "The Church" and "Big Bang" (fem)

Dutch Passion- "Blue Moonshine" and "Brainstorm" (fem)

Nirvana - Blue Mystic (fem)

Delta9 - Canna Sutra (can't get fem)

AMA - "BC Kush", "BC Mango"

Any help gets +REP

Thanks everyone for your input

I honestly don't care too much about the freebies. I would rather have the seeds that I actually want shipped to me (pricey or not) and know for sure that I will most likely be getting a package in the mail.

you should try sannie seeds.. great prices, like $50 for a ten pack of killer strains, plus freebies...
but of the strains you have listed up there, i would go with the dutch passion ... i have had great beans come from the dutch passion, strawberry cough femmed, and it was lovely.. i have been reading a lot about greenhouse seeds on here lately.. i have never used ghs, so i can't tell you any personal experience, but from what i have been reading ghs seems like some of their strains are hit or miss, but like i said, i have no personal experience with them..
i did just oder some herijuana from sannies two days ago, and his ko kush and killing fields look oh so yummy too..

rreign what type of high/stone do you want? Read through this DJ Short Article on effect characteristics and then we can give you some more educated options.

.

Spectrum of Effects

DJ Short

The first spectrum to consider is the "up and down". "Up" refers to the stimulating aspects of cannabis, while "down" refers to sedative qualities. Up pot tends to liven the disposition and stimulate the emotions, inspiring sociability and talkativeness. Down pot tends to produce sedative and depressant effects. Some people refer to stimulating pot as being a "head" high and sedative pot as being a "body" high, yet although partially true this is also misleading.

Body and head highs are the next spectrum of the cannabis experience. Generally speaking, head highs are stimulating and body highs are sedative, but not all are. Some body highs are stimulating and some head highs are depressing. I once sampled a terribly paranoia-inducing head pot that inspired great couch lock qualities. I called it Boo-Goo.

Early to late harvest will affect the head to body spectrum expressed by a certain plant, with the later harvest tending to produce more body and sedative effects. However, I believe that certain aspects of this spectrum to be genetically inherited.

Next to consider are aspects of duration. Some cannabis tends to be short-acting (15-30min) whereas other varieties last much longer (6-7 hours). Once again production, harvesting and curing techniques can influence aspects of this spectrum, but much of this effect is inherited.

For me, the most important aspect of the cannabis experience to consider is tolerance. This refers to the product's ability to provide the same experience via the same amount over time – the burnout factor. By "over time" I mean the long run: months, years, decades...

Most of the cannabis I see on the market today has a terrible tolerance factor – a quick burnout time with the product's novelty lasting less than a week. Luther Burbank's model of breeding needs to be employed here and no expression of tolerance to your product is to be tolerated. An example of where intolerance to tolerance is tolerated – enough already!

Another aspect of tolerance is "ceiling." This refers to how high (or far) one is capable of going with the variety. How many hits can you consume until more hits are unnoticeable? Most indicas have a low ceiling of less than 10 hits. For me that's usually around 5 hits in one smoking session. If I smoke more than 5 hits of a strong indica I will either not notice the post-ceiling hits, or I will fall asleep.

Some sativas have a very high ceiling, or seem to have none at all! This means that the more you consume, the higher and further you go. Oaxaca Highland Gold, Black Magic African, and Highland Thai were some of the herbs I've tried with very high or no ceiling.

The final aspect of mental effects to consider when sampling strains for breeding is the tendency to produce anxiety. Certain strains of cannabis increase anxiety while others decrease it. This is also true for other emotions, which some strains may suppress while others may augment their intensity. Generally stimulating and head varieties are the ones that can produce unwanted anxiety, but this is not always the case. Quickly cured buds or an over-early harvest are contributing factors to anxiety-increasing pot, but this trait is also genetic in nature.

MTM's advice was great, even though he didn't go into detail. Cannaseur/Bidzbay is a relatively small seedbank and an associated group of growers. The Green Avengers (TGA - Subcool, MzJill, etc) concentrate on strains that produce certain medical effects, potency, taste, short flowering time, etc. Just what medical patients need and just as good for hobby growers. Some strains featured in High Times, some of the best reviewed strains on the net. The best description of effects in their ads of any breeder I've seen.

This thread pretty much sums up Cannaseur - a forum member ordered seeds but sent cash, which cannaseur didn't receive. The guy was frustrated, HHF from Breeder's Choice, another Cannaseur breeder, sent the guy free seeds. A good group of people.

https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/244553-problem-ordering-subcool-gear-bidzbay.html

.

Check the Seedbank Update for breeder's to avoid. Even some of those, like BCbuddepot, are well reviewed by forum members but may have a corrupt postal employee stealing cash orders. Follow the rules out lined in Mane's thread from above and things should be OK. Use pre paid credit card, money order, bank draft only ... no cash. Use postal tracking (no signature required). It doesn't make sense for a seedbank to receive cash for an order but not fill it - the lost sales will cripple their business for the cost of sticking some seeds in the mail.

So can I get some real input in here. Have any of you actually smoked any of the strains I listed? Or, have any of you had any dealings with the seed banks I listed? I have only gotten seeds from Attitude so I really need the info.

"So can I get some real input in here."

What do you consider real input? You don't appear to recognize advice that will get you good beans for the type of high/stone that you want, with the least risk.

Here's what you appear to want.

.

Order White Russian or AK47 by Serious Seeds, from Attitude Seedbank, use pre paid debit, get tracking and stealth.

.

If you place that order you will get the best possible genetics, potency, quality of high, at the least risk.

Have Fun.

Look over Greenman's seedbank update.
This guy does an excellent job of rating the different seed banks.

I reference him before I consider buying.:leaf:

Here is the most recent update:

http://www.seedbankupdate.com/su.html
Last Updated: Oct/28/09

Greetings growers this is for medical marijuana users and those who can use the information legally. Seedbank ratings are farther down and the links to growing information are near the end.
The seedbank update is over 11 years old and is the longest running seedbank rating service in the world. Use the list of rated seedbanks and you won't worry about being ripped off. Thanks again to the many people who send in reports on how they did with various vendors.
Now is a good time to start that indoor garden. I keep getting bad reports on cannabisseeds.com it might be best to avoid them. I still get mostly bad reports on bcbuddepot. Hemp depot and attitude are generating the most positive reports.
The post office in the USA often gets funny about delivering letters. People many times use a fake name to get orders sent to them. The trouble is that the letter carrier may not deliver it if they do not recognize the name. Before you send your order, send a letter to yourself using the name and see if it arrives. Then make your order. Ask the company first if they send to your country. If no reply, do not order.
If you have bought from a seedbank send in your report so that other people will know how good or bad it was. No seeds are sold from this site. This center is only for information. You may also send in a grow report on a variety you grew out.
To reach me write to [email protected] remove the ZZZ. Please do not write me at 37.com, only at the email address listed.
This group I've heard good things about. Those with four stars or more are the most reliable. They will send to most countries. I've tried to list those that ship worldwide. Those with a relatively low rating may just be new to the ratings. It takes a while to earn a good rating. A 1/2 means they are half way to the next star.
I keep getting bad reports on bc bud depot. Non delivery or poor quality seeds if they do arrive.

Attitude 3 star and 1/2 (F***1/2)

The limited area seedbanks and a list of bad ones to avoid will be found farther down
Check out the new and unrated seedbanks at the New page. These are seedbanks I've heard good things about but haven't had enough reports on to make a rating.
I don't have time to answer individual questions so I usually just tell people to do some reading. I have information on my site and links to other sites with even more inf

Sorry I couldn't help but get a little laugh outta that last post. I'm not being a dick, it just came off kind of funny how you presented it. I figured just throwing out some general info would get me a more in depth description as to what seeds to get and why, or what bank to go through and why? etc. You have been the only one to give me more than just a simple opinion. Not just throwing out some info on a different strain or bank that I didn't even list. Hell your last post (the one I'm quoting now) has been more informative than the others.

Here's some info to go off of. I want an indica or indica dominant strain. Medium to high yield. Short or easily kept short with some LST, as I will be in a 7' x 4' x 2' cabinet. I like the fruity and floral smells and tastes more so than skunk or hash. Rock hard or semi hard buds and finally more of a body high rather than head as I will be using it for medicinal purposes more than just for fun.

Now you can see why I am asking in here. Because every strain I have up there, pretty much meets those requirements.

And the seeds bank question is obvious. I don't want to get ripped off or go through the BS that I have heard has the tendency to happen.

fair 'nuff. I think I have a better Idea of what you're after. I'm assuming that you're using your medication for pain relief.

"Greenhouse Seeds- "The Church" and "Big Bang" (fem)

Dutch Passion- "Blue Moonshine" and "Brainstorm" (fem)

Nirvana - Blue Mystic (fem)

Delta9 - Canna Sutra (can't get fem)

AMA - "BC Kush", "BC Mango""

Of those strains I'd take Blue Moonshine for pain, the White Widow of the Blue family (I've got one growing up stairs). Very potent to the point of narcotic. Short, stout plant, fairly quick flowering time. Next time I'll take DJ Short's regular seeds and flower out all the females to pick a mother, but last year I bought a Dutch Passion feminized seed before I did much studying.

The Big Bang will be good for reducing anxiety (sold in Dutch Pharmcies), The Church for mood elevation, but neither great for pain. I don't know the others.

.

Of the Seedbanks - I've used Attitude several times, 2 week delivery to North America, safe, decent prices.

I've read good things about Sennsible and bad things about BCseeds, but haven't used either. I would use Sennsible but not BCseeds.

.

Hopefully that's more what you're looking for - as much as I know about your strain and seed bank picks. If you'd like some other strain and breeder options go into more detail about your ailment and I can give you some educated options. I know of some great fruity tasting strains that produce strong medical effects and if you're interested on sexual stabillity info on feminized seeds just ask.

I've grown and smoked Nirvana's Blue Mystic. It's a strong indica with a very stoned effect. I haven't smoked more than a small test sample as it is curing, so I don't know what getting really baked will be like, but it's very strong and very smooth even before cure. Wouldn't recommend for pain. I found it did very little for soreness from shoveling snow. I grew it for aid with muscle spasms and sleep aid (and compact stature) which it should be good for.

My AK 47 seems as good on muscle spasms with great pain relief in a non drowsy package, but further testing required.

It was a bit of a pain to grow because of big variation in phenos. If you want to grow this strain, flower several and pick the one that gives you the size and yeild you want.

Thank you for this post. This is the post that I've been expecting. Sorry but I should have been more precise and informative from the beginning. I thought about the Blue Mystic for quite sometime but eventually got lost in the many other strains out there. I can give you some more info if you'd like. Here is just a small list. Keep in mind some of this is from about 7 years of being in the USMC infantry and some of the other stuff is just genetic and I can't do much about it.

1 chronic ptsd
2 chronic migraines
3 insomnia
4 bi-polar disorder (w/o psychosis)
5 chronic back/shoulder pain
6 nerve damage to right ulnar nerve causing numbness in right arm
7 night terrors
8 anxiety disorders
9 TBI (traumatic brain injury)

I'm slowly breaking that list down now. I think the Church, some WW some Blue Mystic and some AK 48 might be in my future.

... ptsd ... anxiety ... tension ... insomnia ... night terrors ... pain ... depression ... mania ... numbness (nerve damage) ... brain injury ...

That's quite a list. I supply 3 other people: 2 who have only clinical depression; 1 with depression, night terrors, insomnia, tension; I have bi polar disorder so add in mania. I've been researching strains for pain relief for my mother who has deforming arthritis. I've been looking into strains for everything but ptsd, numbness and brain injury. I've got 18 strains growing now, looking for the right set for the illnesses my people and I have.

One thing I'll suggest once you get enough bud on hand - eat a large amount just before bed. I made potent brownies on Sunday for the person who has insomnia (4 hrs sleep a night) and nightmares. He's slept 9 - 10 hours a night the past 2 nights, no waking through the night. Eating a gram's worth of good bud seems to help through the night. No noticeable reduction in nightmares yet. I just have to get a good strain for sleep - the Blue Moonshine should be good, I've got a few others and am looking at Godzilla and Seraph as well.

You've got a good start on your strains. All the best, if you're looking for other options just ask. Attitude is a great seedbank, they have pretty much everything most growers need, relatively easy to use, reliable, safe.

Is it safe to say that you're a caregiver then? What state? I'll be moving to Colorado in order to be able to start taking nature's own. Right now they have me on so many pharmaceutical drugs, it's unreal. Serequil, Ambien, Zoloft, Midrin. That's just what they want me to take right now. The list was longer. I get on average about 2 - 4 solid hours of sleep a night for the last 4 years. I have extremely bad night terrors with night sweats. Bad anxiety to the point that I can't even go to the store without having to go outside half way through my shopping, just to get a breath of fresh air. My back and shoulder pains come from years of carrying too much weight while on humps and patrols. I'm not depressed or anything. I just hate the fact that everyone tries to put me on so many different meds when all I really need is a good joint. Anyway, sorry about the rambling, I just can't wait until I can finally have things my way, without "The Man's" way, lol

I'm in Canada, I just give bud to friends and family who have medical problems and were already medicating with marijuana. Without telling them that I'm growing. Right now "we are all part of a marijuana effect characteristic test. Fill out your surveys, tell no one." Whatever lie they want to believe they get free bud, fair trade.

I'm not familiar with Midrin, never had Ambien but I hear people talk about it for sleep. I was on Zoloft for years (Welbutrin now) and I'm on Serequil which I asked for to put me to sleep at night (50 mg). Do you take all of your Serequil at night? That's a lot of meds they have you on, I've got 4 types and one of my "patients" has 5.

With anxiety being such a big problem watch out for sativas that might cause more. Jack The Ripper, C99 ... Two strains to look at hard are the Big Bang you already have and Strawberry Cough. I grew SC for my patient with anxiety problems and he said that it's helped him more than any other strain, cut through anxiety like a hot knife through butter. Dutch Passion has a feminized version but if you can get a clone you're better off (we might be able to help you locate one in a dispensary near you). Sagamartha has a SC x Diesel cross called Strawberry Delight that should be good, I have a similar strain Strawberry Diesel by another breeder who's no longer in business.

http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/dutch-passion-seeds/dutch-passion-strawberry-cough-feminized/prod_285.html

.

Another strain that will help anxiety, depression, mania, insomnia, good for pain relief & spasms, etc ... is Kali Mist by Serious Seeds. It's a longer flowering strains (mine is 16 weeks, you definitely need another strain with this wait) but has an amazing up-opiate high that leaves you in bliss. If taken in moderation you can be social or over indulge for bad spots. Helps with menstrual cramps and spasms. Tastes like spice.

http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/serious-seeds/serious-seeds-kali-mist/prod_527.html

.

Those two weren't on your list but I think they're worth mentioning since you have severe anxiety. In terms of relative strength: Strawberry Cough or Big Bang to use while functional for all day anxiety; Kali Mist to cut through moods when things are bad and you don't have to be any more than social; a Blue Moonshine grown amber for a narcotic stone for those times when you have to check out.

Damn... where'd you get your cannabis doctorate, lol. I wish I had the opportunity to expirament and have "patients" that I could help like you are. Unfortunitely I will have to wait for the time being. I have to stay within the state laws you know. In answer to your question... they have me taking Serequil during the day and night. I take 50mg in the morning and 50mg at night. I also take a 10mg Ambien at night. The Serequil and the Ambien combined will usually give me about 6 solid hours of sleep. I used to be on Welbutrin but I just didn't like it too much. They also had me on Xanex (SP) but I went back to the Zoloft. I am just so tired of all the pharmaceutical hype. I hate taking chemical drugs to make myself feel "normal" I will definitely be looking into some of the other strains you mentioned. The Strawberry Cough sounds pretty good. Thanks again.
