I got a hold of some sour diesel. Haven't tried it yet but....how can I tell if it's the real deal?

I'd like to hear from those who have grown the real deal SD. Looks like schwag to me and doesn't have the overwhelming smell that is described by many strain sites...

Sounds like it was grown wrong or someone took you IMO.

I grow it often and it's called diesel for a reason. I can definitely tell it apart from any other strain I grow easily...The fuel smell is very evident in an actual diesel strain.....it reminds me of a SSH mixed with fuel.....but it could be bad dry/cure or growing issues as well....GL

Most likely it's not Sour Diesel not too many people have the original clone and most people with the original clone really don't have the original clone.

But the weed should be pretty good even if it's just Skunk#1 really Mexican bag seed grows decent bud if grown properly of course drying and curing.

impossible to describe to you other than leaflycom type flavors and smells
but if you've had it you'd be growing it yourself.

Well...it does have a fuel like smell...just not overwhelming. And it doesn't appear very crystally but it sure is sticky, which is supposed to be a trait of that strain. Once I smoke some....will see...

The trim job leaves a lot to be desired but maybe the strain is just one of those sloppy ones with a lot of spear leaves...

what are you waiting for?
Game of thrones tonight....lol
Well I also got some pink grapefruit and I really wanted to try that last night. It was spectacular. I think I have a new favourite in that one. Super tasty smooth and very uplifting high....potent... even smelled like grapefruit while smoking it...

Anyway, tonight is sour diesel night. Like to try new strains completely on their own...

Well sparked it up. Tasted about as awful as I hear SD is supposed too. But who the fuck really knows what it is.

I will say that it's pretty firey though! Heavy indica buzz...

Gas smell with some pungent citrus thrown in. Crazy greens with popping Orange hairs. Crazy up high for 25% of the high then hard stone and super munchies.

The off color fruitier version is nycd. The more powerful gas and citrus is real sd.

lol it wasn't sour d then. If you had real sourd you'd know it, your entire house would reek anytime you opened the jar. Sourd doesn't taste awful, lol... it flies out the door because it is so fucking good and it is in no way an indica buzz. lolthread.

It's called diesel because that was the local slang for top shelf herb in AJ's circle in NY at the time. And they added the sour to the name because the price made mafuckaz sour. Talkin thousand dollar OZ's.

That's coming straight from Asshole Joes mouth, the creator of sour diesel. I don't know the smell/taste because I've never grown or smoked sour D, but the name IS NOT indicative of the terps.
