looks like another 1 week or 2,

I say that because the hairs on your last pic look so fresh, not receding too much yet, and not much of a general orange hue.

Nice looking plants man!

Oh man I wish I could help ya with those q's as I havent dabbled too much in flowering food.

Some strains experience a second spurt of pistil growth and development. Im not positive if lowryder is among those.

If you are at 12 weeks TOTAL I would say yes go ahead, but if you are at 12 weeks flower I would say hold off.

These are auto flower so they started life flowering. I think that both these plants hit a resurgence of growth a few weeks ago. I am thinking a few days on the yellowing one as the hairs are turning brown rapidly now the other is at like a stand still.

What light cycle you goin with? Are you gonna do the 12/12? I got an auto plant goin now for 1.5 mnths on 20/4 light sched, just turned it down to 12/12 today hoping to snap it into flower even though its this ruderalis strain. The seller and others said it was a 4-5 month grow.

So by your answer Im guessing youre at 12 weeks total, and in 3 months, I wouldnt think it would be done that quick, but every plant is different?

These are low rider autos. Supposed to be done at 10 weeks total. I switched them on the scedule of my other normal plants and they are on 12/12 now.

The yellowing one is about the size of a coke can maybe a little bigger but it is hard as a rock. The other one is tiny though MIGHT be a quarter if I am lucky. I am hoping on an oz from the bigger one

Hahahaha, YOU CANT. That's the whole damn point. Ruderalis plants dont react to light times, they react to their age. It's a hormone. Normal plants measure the dark cycle and release the hormone to start fruting [flowering] but ruderalis release it on age. So if you give them 12/12 they'll just stretch and not be getting enough light. If it's starts flowering when you turn to 12/12 it'd only be because of it's age. co-incidence.

Grow properly.

LR#1 is meant to be 8 weeks seed to harvest. [females show normally on day 21]

I found i had to let mine go till week 11, then it was done.

Thanks for the reply ganjman,

Yes, I was hoping to get a better idea for what light schedule would be best for these plants then, basically is what Im trying to get to.

So if I flip it to 12/12 Ill just be adding...... time? to my grow, or, it will just stretch as well and not get the correct photoperiod for ultimate growth and flower.....what Im trying to ask is:

What light schedule are you going with to get the best results from your experience with a particular autoflower strain?

These are not actually low rider they are from a mix bag from low life seeds. It is an auto mix. I am not sure how they react but I had some come out of the seed and start flowing at less than an inch tall and less than a week old. This one was switched to 12 12 at about 7 weeks old and that might have made it stall on flowering or something of that sort. My profile pic is the same plant at about week 6 or 7. It has not done much since then and seems to have stopped or reversed the hairs changing to orange. The trichs are just cloudy with a few showing amber maybe 2%.

The best in my growing experience is 18/6

They say 20/4 but the extra couple of hours cooldown time makes a differnce in size of plant when it's vegging [it'll grow more without stretching, as it grows during the dark cycle too. 12/12 would be way too long for them in the dark. You could grow them like that, but it'll make a major dent in yeild [possibly quality too]

18/6 all the way through is perfect.

Hmm, they dont really sound that stable.

If your trichs are cloudy and just starting to turn amber, you'll be ready to harvest in the next few days mate, anytime from NOW.

just went back in and reset the lights to 18/6.

Oh well, I guess Ill see when it gets older what happens under this regimen of light.

I was at 12/12 for almost 2 days, now today, screw it, Ill switch it back, hope it doesnt mess with it too much. And Ill just go 18/6 thru flower too.

I remember arguing with a member here about micro grows, and how beneficial CFL's were with spectrum, light, and whatnot.

I came out and said maybe a good strain to grow under cfl would be an autoflower strain, for CFL growers so they maximize the use of light, and spectrum on these auto's with the longer photoperiod.

Well, this plant isnt much of a dwaRF, getting kinda large, and from what I read you cant clone these auto's either. So its a almost a waste, unless you got a truckload of seeds to keep goin, and you like the smoke.

Good luck guys.

They look nice and in good nick - the light times wont fuck with the plant at all.

Ruderalis skunk is an autoflowering strain that gets rather big.
