Hi Guys!

I have two buggle gummers and two white widows. I am about 7-8 weeks into flowering here. How are they looking??

Getting there for sure. I usually on run WW for about 60ish days. Usually less. Best way to tell when they are ready for you is to snap up a jewelers loupe (at least 60x) or a pocket microscope, and check the trichs.

I shoot for 94% milky/Cloudy, 4% Clear, and 1% amber. it's really a personal preference, but I chop right when I start seeing amber. nice shots, man.

When those red hairs start sinking into the bud, time to bust out the scope
ok. i've been watching the trichs. seem mostly clear/slightly milky. im just nervous about letting them go too far.

has anyone had BG before? i've sampled them both a little with my vape, the WW seems to be much smoother overall. BG gives me slight anxiety sometimes it seems

thanks for the input. first grow, have been pretty good about everything. honestly the pics don't really do the plants justice. they really do look nice and fat.

yes , indeed you plants seem preety nice .. all those calyx's are all in the "sinsemilla" stage , so it means that plants should be almost done , but the better way its to watch with the loupe !
That is indeed the only right way to know when its ready .
Some people already grow a strain for soo long and know it so well that dont need the loupe to know when its ready , but if it's not your case, you much check it out with a loupe.

BTW, does anyone know what causes foxtailing? I never had it happen
Foxtailing usually happens with sativa strains. I was checking out an Old School Haze by Connisseuer genetics and it was nothing but foxtailing buds everywhere. I saw it earlier today here on RIU. You should be able to find it.

I do have a loupe and have been checking. I see mostly clear/slightly milky. I saw amber maybe on one but overall they seem clear/milkyish. Kind of hard to tell. Should most of the trichs on the leaves be milky with little amber before harvest? Or just one? Not sure how that works..

As far as I know it is just a sativa characteristic that happen's from time to time. I have had it happen to me a couple of times on sativa strains. It isn't something that has happened to me a lot or anything. It isn't any kind of problem or anything. I think they are pretty cool to look at. lol!
