Ready to flower??

Hey all, I was just wondering if you guys think I'm ok to flower these babies. They are 30 days today from sprouting. Very short and bushy as hell! I can only let these get 3' max and now they are on average about 6-7" with around 6 nodes. Just wondering if I'm ok to flower yet due to limited head room. I've been FIMing my plants with great results. Here's some pics to give you a better idea.

Yes,or wait till they are 10 to 12" tall.

Typically,Indicas will stretch 2x to 3x there size once flowering is induced and Sativas 3x to 5x once flowering is induced.

Id let them get a little taller, cause they will double in size once you flower,so once they are 1 foot to 1.5 feet tall. Then I would flower.Just my 2 cents, but Im no expert. With the 3foot height restriction

Here's an update shot at 32 days. They aren't really growing at all just getting bushier. I have four plants with six main colas due to lucky FIMing. They've grown in pretty good and now I'm doing some LST. I'm thinking I'm going to just put them in flower this weekend.

Looks to me like you're ready to flower. I always wait too long to flip, and end up getting bigger plants than my space can handle. For reference, I vegged mine this much, and they look like the second pic now, approximately 3 feet tall:

Yea I decided to just put them in flower and see how it goes. This is my first grow so I'm surprised I made it to this point lol.

Day 1 of flower at 32 days from sprout. This was at lights on. They were perked up and ready for the day. They had a 19.5 hr dark period due to needing to adjust the time to 12/12. I'll keep this grow updated.

I would probably have waited until they were at least 15 inches if you have a max of 3 feet. Look like classic indica doms to me so i'd be surprised if those got to be even a foot tall if you flowered them at 6 inches. The basic rule for growth in flowering is to have room for sativas doms and hybrids to triple in size during flowering and allow for indica doms to double in size. Now if your using low wattage lights (250 or less) then that height is probably perfectly fine to begin flowering.

I'm currently using a 400w HPS for flower and I used a 400w MH for Veg. Not sure of the strains, it's bag seed that I picked them up from an old friend. He said it was some really good strains when he smoked it so let's see if I don't fuck it up lol.

I hear you Kage and I thought about the same thing but due to this being my first grow and unknown strains I wasn't sure what to expect. Here is my game plan though, let them flower for 7-10 days and take two clones per plant, root them, veg them for 2-4 week (keep the females and toss the males when known, while they are vegging). From there I can put one of each into flowering and then leave the others in veg and leave as mothers. From there I will start a perpetual harvest that will pull two new clones per plant, root them and veg them for two weeks. Stick them into flower and start the process over again for a hopefully successful perpetual harvest.
I know most the pros and cons and the rumors and talk about cloning while in flower but I thought I'd give it a shot and see how t works out for me. Never know till I try right? Lol.

3 days into flower (35 days from sprout) and the plants have already grown about a third their original height. The shortest one I had was just about 6 inches and now the shortest one I have is just about 9.5". They are getting bushier by the day. Need to do some more LST

Looking good.. Vegging sucks :D Just waiting waiting. The first couple weeks after the flip are awesome, then it sucks again as you need to wait for harvest :D

I probably also would have let them go a little longer with your space so I could grab some cuttings for clones but you should be happy with what you have. With 400W HPS you really only have about 18" of effective light penetration.

I have always grown in limited horizontal space but decent vertical space. See if you can get smaller tomato cages for each of the pots and use that to help keep the growth down and for support to keep the branches apart, this will also help with airflow and light penetration. With 400W HPS you really only have about 18" of effective light penetration.

Just before lights out I noticed two of my plants showing signs of sex at 3 days flower. Guess they were a little more mature than I thought. One of them has very tiny pistils coming out. So hopefully one girl out of six so far. Keep my fingers crossed over the next week or so. Couldn't get a pic my phone wouldn't focus right but I'll get one soon.

Here's some pics I took this morning. I've only seen one so far on two plants. Is this enough to confirm a female or should I wait for a few more??

Hey what's up guys. Just wanted to give an update. Here's my plants 10 days into flower. All are showing signs of sex and all six are females, Whoot Whoot! Lol. They have pretty much already tripled their height and are still showing signs of growing bigger by the day. Here's some pics I took today.
