Ready to chop

I'm 62 days into flowering. OG Kush and Alien OG from Seed Supreme and a Rosetta Stone and Mota Hari from Brothers Grimm . I selectively pollinated a lower flower from each of these on April 24th. I am thinking of chopping Thursday or Friday of this week. Just wanted to get others opinions. Hopefully seeds and trichomes will be mature. Anyone have any opinions?

IMHO pics 1,2 and 4 look pretty good, another week or two wouldn't hurt. Pic # 3 a couple more weeks at least, still a lot of white hairs. Looks like the trich's are cloudy on all the plants but no amber, no clear either so they're pretty close. On some plants the calyxes swell up like little roses, not seeing that with these so much. If they do start swelling like that in the next week then you got a couple or three more weeks.

If it was me I would most def do 1-3 more weeks, get over it And know that last 2-3 weeks are if not most important! That plant if u make sure it knows it’s the end will result in more compaction, better quality and taste/smells if done correctly. Besides proper process and cure, letting ur buds aka fruit finish and also ripen is key. Cannabis unlike other Fruits u want it to be at its best and most potential cause otherwise it’s not gonne be ripe. unlike a banana or many fruit where they harvest and let it ripen after harvested, cannabis won’t do that besides convert to cbn over time.

last 1-3 weeks lower light ppfd, co2 and temps . U can even run 10on/13off and also last 3-5 days run no light and harvest in dark. these things like fruit farming show ur not degrading it as much as running max temps and ppfd. also u can tell the plants it’s winter by lowering temps gradually to under 60f and even adding cold water. They will know

Last weeks I also suggest raising ur brix/sugar levels and forget about “ flushing” and focus just on aiding the brix increase levels and aiding the plant. I suggest looking into dry molasses like raw npk molasses and feed heavy at end. Sulphur and adding higher brix shows. people in cannabis farming aren’t looking into other ag like fruit industry and seedling the clear advantages and why they do such. U think they do it blindly?

I used to follow breeders and other growers rules of 60 days chops but once I saw legit og’s growing and suggesting these things and also why, it made sense but also why so many in cannabis grows are growing not to maturity . It’s the greed and bro sci hurting the farmer if u think just because someone told ya 60 days chop it’s good. shoot even showing amber I still go till plant is showing it’s dying.

I used to only get by average .5-1% terps , now it’s 25-50% more on same strains. Like I stated above even if you do this correctly you still need to do the process and cure accordly as well, otherwise these very sensitive buds well degrade so fast and easily. not Getting into that today about how to do that lol

@compassionateExotic Thanks. I dont measure brix. a lot of info here. Girlfriend wants me to chop. I told her about another week maybe I push it to two. I have been lowering feeds especially nitrogen. Havent seen people suggesting to increase feeds at this late time. This was mostly an organic run but had some problems w K++ deficiency so last couple of weeks added salts.Have been adding KS04, KPO4+,KN03, CaN03 about 1/4 tsp admixed w ash water and FPJ and FFJ. The ferments have brown sugar, so maybe that helps. Also add Jadam microbial solution and lacto baccilis I made. Maybe will add some mollases too. I battle the temps. In the winter it was easy but a week ago we were hitting mid 80's and grow room got to 88. Lately I keep door open when lights are on to help cool as the room does not have a cooling system. I can get temps down to low 70's. At least the next week I will have cooler temps.
