Ready or Not? Pics...

Some quick background:

I'm living in a new city w/ 2 roommates who also like to smoke. Growing my own since we don't have any connects out here and will only be here temporarily. I work pretty long hours, so I haven't had time to devote to really doing this right w/ a really nice setup and keeping track of dates etc.

That being said, this is a plant that I grew from a bagseed. I orig. grew 3 plants but 2 turned out to be males. This one is a herm. It's about 3 ft. tall, and has a lot of buds sparsely spread out across it. None of the buds are very big. The pics I've attached are the very tip of the plant, which has the most developed buds. Based on what these buds look like, is this ready to be harvested? I THINK it's been on a 12/12 light cycle for about a month?

Next chance I'll have to harvest will be in 2 weeks since I'm going on a business trip. One of my roommates will be around to water it while I'm away.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! :peace:

It's really hard to tell w/o seeing the gland heads (trichomes) . . . I'd at least pinch all the male parts I could find off immediately. If she/he's been fertilized (open male sac) the growth will go into seed production. I feel your dilemma, with only one plant and all.
From the growth in your pic, I'd say it's been in 12/12 longer than you recall. Most folks harvest about 2 months after flowering begins. Good luck.

Self-fertilization already happened unfortunately, the sacs opened during the veg. stage! At that point I didn't know it was a herm, and since I had never grown a male plant before I just segregated it from the other plants and let it keep growing to see what it'd look like.

There was only 1 cluster of pollen sacs, don't know if that caused it to only seed in a small area, but I haven't noticed that many seeds. The few that existed already kinda dried up and I've removed them.

ugh, pull the plant now. start over. in two weeks, your seedlings will be well on their way... just my 2 cents. your plant doesn't look too hot. and your mates are going to water it? try again

Yeah, smoke is smoke to me too... Only thing about starting over is that we're moving in 2 months and we're just about out of weed... I'm just trying to make the most of this situation.

So its not gonna be the best. Its what you got. Smoke it. Save the seeds. Theres debate on here as to whether or not hermies make hermies...I dunno, I've heard pretty compelling arguments either way...some say environment causes hermies, some say its passed down. If you dont care, keep what seeds you have and you might get lucky with a female sometime down the road. But I'm no expert.
