Re-veg experiment It's alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the 1st buds a plant gives off are always the weakest. the more time u reveg the flower a plant the buds get stronger and stronger.
So why doesn't everybody continue to re-veg their plants, and not bother with mothers/cloning/etc... ?

That doesn't make much sense to me - it seems that the buds should only decrease in potency.

Many people claim that as the plant peaks in sexual maturity the thc will be the strongest. Then just as humans, we get older and weaker,so do they. It gets really bad when you clone, a clones, clone of a clone. You get it? As long as you keep taking clones from the same mother, all clones will be alike. but taking clones off of those clones, then off those and so on, you lose quality in genetics.

That's false IMHO

That would mean that genetic codes are older and degrades in the top which are the most newest growth area.

The genetic code/dna/yada da da is the same throughout the plant, when you cut of that clone the genetics do not degrade, the same plant / same geneic make-up just continues growing up and up and up...

It's 100% the same as it's other part, just an extension

Again ,

JMHO.

You are probably right, for I cant seem to find the info on it. I get what your saying about the main cola being the oldest so genes would be oldest and degraded, blah blah blha, But I do recall that clones from clone, will lose quality from generation to generation, but I will try to find resources and repost. Yet you may be right!

Cool! I have a slightly-related question though - will the THC be as potent if you're cloning off a re-vegged plant vs. a never-flowered plant? Or do the THC levels become restored in the cloned plant?
I answered my own question, and I'll have to say that several of you are wrong (assuming that my source is right).

"However, if mothers suffer stress, they produce weak clones. Mothers that are forced to flower and revert back to vegetative growth not only yield less, they are stressed and confused." - From Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes

i know this makes logical sense, but can you verify that? have you done this and smoked the resulting plants? did you read it somewhere? can you reference a respected canabis book on this?

hey wwr911. my plant turned out the same way when i reveged except i didn't take clones. the weird part of it is it was a hermie and my first plant (so i kept it) but now its been like a month and i don't see any male pollen sacks. has this ever happened to anyone? because ive never heared of it

ive had four plants go from two weeks of flowering to revegging them,i have read every book and article on the results, they all say the end result is less potent leafy bud.i can see that it would be leafy because were there was bud is now bunches of the round new leafs.but i will let them flower too see the results, but i probably should of just dumped them, they are not worth the effort for weak potency leafy bud.and this came from the world experts on growing.

I think everyone is takling about different things. The quote by jorge for instance, I believe he is takling about a plant, that was put into flower, then a couple weeks later put back to veg, then flowered.

This case is different. Radio already harvested his plant, so tihs is a different situation. From everything I have read the reveged plants turn out to be bushier, and yeild more then the first harvest. Not sure about potency however.

Radio, you should give the plant a bit longer to veg in my opinion man. Its just now starting to get the hang of vegging, I would let it go another 2 weeks, to let it prepare itself to flower again. I think the two weeks will give you a dramatically better yeild. Try using molasses to get those trichomes to explode when you start flowering.

Goodluck, keep us posted

Much love growers : ) <3

i will!!i have somewhat same situation,i dont know if you read my thread on how my sis killed my plants?...anyways one wasnt to bad,i just cut the buds but left a few branches with lil buds still on them, when this happened i pulled them out of the ground, then couldnt get rid of it so i threw it in a pot and bam,it took ithink,i havent seen new leaves but the ones that r there are looking good...so yours was an outsider and then you brang it in for reveg or?
