Some pics from today. I think I am getting the veg area dialed in. Keeping it nice and humid and as warm as possible. Probably hits 82-85 with lights on. The room stays in the low 60s typically when lights are off, but it takes a couple of hours for it to cool down to that so it isn't the entire nighttime period that is that cold. The plants are really responding to the improved environment.

The Blue Dream is continuing to get monstrous. I love her. I am going to let her grow up to the lights and then tie her down some and let her keep reaching up. I have about 4 weeks until I can get her into flower so I will need to manage her soon. Not kidding, she has grown more in the last month as I have been improving my veg area than she has in the 3+ months she has been growing since rooting as a clone. That, and the fact that she has an intense root ball now thanks to changes in my nutes.

I transplanted the other Sour Diesel into a coco pot and then did some LST. She started out like this:

And wound up like this:

The Bubba Kush is coming along with lots of root growth happening now:

And here is the little Sage 'N" Sour seedling. Looking good :) The cotyledons are almost all dried and shriveled now and she is asking for food. Gave her some low ppm N to help her green up a bit:

IMG_6743.jpg

The Sour Diesel clone in the water farm bucket needed some N as well, she is already responding well and has already grown since being put in her new home:

Peace.

The little SourD clone responded beautifully to the LST:

My son and I were brainstorming down there and came up with an interesting idea that we want to try with the other SourD clone, so we started preparing her for it...more on that later:

Peace and :joint:

It's awesome to see you messing around with so many things at once. I can't wait to see you flower that nicely trained RP SD because I had that thing before and if there was ever one that could benefit from training it's that! PC looking great too.

Funny, I noticed the ratchet ties you have in there, also noticed you train very well on the smart pots- two things I'll implement in the future for sure. With a small hole for some long ratchet ties I can run string through them to the plant and gradually ratchet more as more training is needed.

I've been mulling around rdwc in my head for a while, but I think I'm just going to use 5-gal buckets (imo these could produce pounder plants np), and install a grommet with some sort of release valve at the bottom of each one for easy drainage, that way I could just dump the old nutes when they get low (I would have to elevate the buckets to fit a drainage tray below. Only thing I'm still debating is how to add the new solution, although I suppose I could just pour it through the pellet zone, especially if I get the nice wide lids like you have.

Thanks man! The felt pots are the shit, definitely like them. Just wash them and reuse and they definitely dry out faster and more thoroughly after watering/feeding.

Said "fuck it" and decided to pull out the huge system today and consolidate all my flower plants under the HPS. So, now, in the flower tent I have (3) Blue Dreams in DWC, (1) BD in coco, (1) Pineapple Express in coco.

IMG_6776.jpgIMG_6798.jpgIMG_6790.jpgIMG_6783.jpg

Have the clones and seedlings and plants in cups hanging out in the small tent now - much better environment for them. Nice and warm and humid.

IMG_6796.jpg

Left to right the plants in cups are a Dinafem Cheese, Humboldt Green Crack and THSeeds Sage'n'Sour (decided to mainline her so topped/pruned her today. Under the dome I have a couple of Bubba Kush Clones, a SourD clone and a Sage n' Sour clone.

My plan is to get a big plant ready to move into flower every 3 weeks or so - once some space clears out in the flowering room. So, right now have the SourD, Bubba Kush and other SourD (DWC, clone of one in coco) under the T5 and hoping to get them huge. I think the size of the BD I just put into flower today is what I am shooting for.

Had to get some new flower nutes today. On the suggestion of my very trusted grow shop, I purchased the Heavy 16 Bud A+B. They swear by it so I figured for $25 it is worth a try :)

Peace.

Pineapple Express is about 1 week from harvest I think. She is super hairy and smells very fruity/stinky. Going to continue flushing her until next Friday and then check her.

Here is one of the Blue Dreams that I transplanted from the RDWC to a 5-gal bucket DWC. She is shaping up nicely as well. Really great root system on her.

Does anyone else miss the ability to upload multiple photos at once?

Peace.

Yeah, just got mine in the mail and am already germinating the Emdog, Sugar Black Rose and Gigabud. I wanted a couple of short flowering Indicas around - and then the Emdog is something I have wanted to grow for a while :)

Yeah, I definitely struggle with temps getting too low at night in the winter. I read a suggestion to maybe swap your lights on time to evening in the winter in colder climates - next year I plan on trying that. Bringing in outside air when it is negative temps is near impossible without cranking a space heater in the tent 24/7. Right now I am going to have it keep temps around 68 in the tent at night at the cost of energy and my bill for it. I unplugged my flower room exhaust from the duct that takes it outside to dump some warm air into my grow area (which is open so it gets plenty of other air as well) - so far it is helping but it would be much better if it was doing it at night :)
I grew in South Dakota during the winter with blizzards outside. I pulled air directly in the window and in my tent. Ran lights during the night and darkness at day but the intake fan was always running. My temps ran at about 75-78 lights on and 58-60 lights off. But it was with a 1k light in a 4x4.
