Rbbermaid box for SOG

I was wondering if anyone cared to express an opinion on spacing for my Next-Gen grow containers. I am using 3.75" net pots and will be growing out very short indicas with the bottom 50% of the main stem stripped. I thought I was going to get more in this container but I guess that was wishful thinking. I took one column out after initial layout as I thought they were too close.

Let me know.

That a 50 gallon Rough Neck? Just purchased a couple myself today as well. I also plan to run a SOG (eventually) and was hoping to get EXACTLY as many 3.75" net cups in mine as well ( 18 ) SO... I am not really offering any suggestions or helping you in any way now, but am interested in reading along with what others think. That current spacing looks good to me though.

Why are you going to strip the main stems though, if you don't mind my asking?

Also, is this a DWC of some sort? I plan to use mine as an aeroponic system of sorts.

Anyhow.. Hope you dont mind my tagging along.

I have considered doing aero but I will be waiting a few more cycles I think and just do drip DTW.

On the striping of the stems, with the ladies this close together the light won't be able to penetrate deeply enough
to get much in the way of lower branches so I strip them clean
to let the plant use all of it's energy on one big central cola basically.
A bunch of little plants instead of 1 big one.

If i get a 8g bud from each of these plants and I can get 2 roughnecks in a meter square
with about 1000w of light then 36x8g= 288g in 50 days of flower
or about 10 oz per set of 2 rough necks.
I would be happy with that yield my first time.
A really good number might be 1g per watt of light.
