Rats!!!!

a fucking rat ate my nutes! i just so happen to walk into my supply room today and a bottle was knocked over with a puddle around it. the fucking rat chewed the top off of the bottle like a fucking can opener!!! spilled the whole bottle over. i guess rats like cold processed squid hahaha
he sampled a few other bottles but only a small bite mark at the top.

i hope that shit kills him. guess i'll have to put a few traps out tonight.

not the biggest loss though. i have the GO box from general organics, and it comes with bio weed and bio marine, which are kind of the same thing anyway. so when the time comes i should still be fine.

what a god awful smell tho!! fucking RAT!!!

anyone else have this shit happen to them?

copied this from my journal because i thought you guys would get a kick out of it

that sucks.. I used to grow in the corner of a gaage and in the winter freekin mice sometimes would get into my grow room and burrow into the soil of one of the plants because it was warm I guess but thats what I get for not having my room properly sealed. sorry for your loss

i used to be a pest controll tech in Fla long ago. use a glue board and peanutbutter. or spring type of trap and peanutbutter. PB is like rodent crack.

I have pet rats and can testify that are pretty partial to biobizz bloom lol - one of mine licked up a little puddle of it and promptly got the shits. ha ha

That peanut butter idea is a good one. You probably don't even need a trap. Leave big splodges of peanut butter about and they will gorge themselves to death. Rats have no regurgitation reflex, so once that stuff sticks in their throat (which it will), they've had it.

There is a big difference between squid in a bottle and the others mentioned in the go box , long story short the squid juice is no loss as it seems to attract more pests from my experience and it stinks in the long haul like Fish Emulsion .. To each there own but I dont like shit like that in my house

Edit : Forgot to not that I moved Rockwool for someone the other day to discover that mice are stealing it for bedding lol .. I told him its not safe now that its coverd in mice shit if he intends to grow medical grade herbs

Why is it that everyone spills the squid? My friend dropped his squid and it blew squid juice everywhere, so gross :(edit- post pics of the rat if you get'em :):):)

Ha ha - fully organic. It was only a little bit, way less than a teaspoon (which it spilled from). She has now started to grow multiple new legs! :-P

I hope someone or thing gets some of you POS sons of bitches just for wanting to be able to catch a meal, be warm and live.

Small rodents can get thru holes the size of a dime, or anything they can fit their head thru. Any such holes or cracks in the building should be sealed up. Keep your environment clean, don't leave crumbs of anything around or anything out in the open if you think you might have rodents. If there isn't anything for them or conditions are unappealing they will go elsewhere. Mice and rats don't like mint, peppermint oil can be used to repel them as can cats.

rat broke into my attic. chewing shit up, shitting all over the place, scratching around in my ceilings.. im gonna catch that little shit. :fire:

The attic? Oh no, why, Anne Frank wouldn't happen to up there- would she? Of course not.

... Would anybody happen to be up there? Probably not. It's an attic. Is the rodent shit physically hurting you? Probably not as much as the mold spores from what you most likely have growing between the walls. Focus your efforts on making sure more rodents don't get in. I'd tell you exactly how to catch it if I thought you'd live-trap and release it.

Otherwise, I hope if you do manage to catch it, I hope that it bites you and that you get a really bad infection!

Rats are necrophobic. Thats the biggest word I know. Juveniles are easy to catch but them old wary one's, especially the females, they can be hard to catch or even poison. Rat families have a hiarchy like all families. The young ones try new food first before the older ones will eat. If Jr doesnt croak its safe to eat

rats carry diseases. if he bit me before i took care of him that could be bad. i dont want to get a fucking rabbis shot!!
I've been bitten by a rat before, and let me tell you.....It's not fun.

It fucking hurt like shit, it bit my pointer finger, and its teeth were so sharp, they met in the middle of my finger. Razor sharp.

No signs of rabies, or any sickness, yet. Probably because it was a rat from the pet store, I didn't freak out so bad. But yeh...Rat teeth = run away.
