Keep in mind, my budget for this grow box was 50$, but i only spent 30$ (had everything but lights). I used an old wooden shipping crate, some mylar I had in the basement, a sheet of cardboard, and some old computer parts. Right now my bagseed is germinating and I will plant them soon. I am using 4 23 watt cfl's for now, but in 2-3 weeks when i get another paycheck I'm going to order 4 43 watters. What do you think?

If the bottom fan is pulling air in and the top out.. I'd assume it will be pulling in hot air.

Placing the fans on either side of the box would have been a little bit better.

Another idea would be to move the plug strip from inside the box, as this may add to the heat inside the box.

Other than that, good luck with the grow. :)

If the box is completely closed even if there are fans in them the heat will accumulate quite a bit and you gonna have a big heat problem.. maybe if you you leave the box slightly wedged open then the hot air can escape and you can control the heat a little but other than that you gonna have a problem.. :)

dark how did you wire the pc fans without a motherboard, i tried to do the same thing but the fans wouldnt work unless the power source was connected to the motherboard and the on switch was hit

wanna know some ghetto shit? take a computer fan, and strip the wire a bit, now take any dc charger, the one that are like a cylinder and you plug them in and a little penis goes into the charger, wrap the black wire around the chrager and stick the red wire in that little whole, thats what i do!

you know at first i thought this was great!..

But then i started thinking about it more...The power supply needs to be outside... the plug in extension needs to be outside as well.... damn use a 400 watt power suplly for 2 fans?,.... I got those server fans and riged them to plug right in... Just try it... splice the wires to a normal plug in cable and try....

i dont think youll have a problem with the fans you have right now.. I dont know what that guy was thinking... as long as the bottom is sucking cold air in....and the top blowing air out..youll be fine.. (heat rises)

lets see.... oh yeah..i sujest putting some little 5 dollar fans that you can get at walmart in there.... they are a good size for that box....

check it... use those stick on hooks tooo...

see them in action...

Good luck man.... and watch those temps... or get some good genes like im doing...

I ordered from this company in SPAIN... mandala seeds..... Hashberry.... its supposed to be able to handle heat up to 120....I mean wow..

I realized its flaws, now all the wiring is outside the case. I plan on having 2-3 plants in it, and it is about the size of a bedside table, I would say 2' by 2' by 3'. Thanks guys!
