Hey guys this is my second harvest first one turned out to be terrible. So i'd say this is my first successful harvest so go ahead and rate it from what you can see. IMG_0681.jpg scale of 1-10

I shall remember your generosity.

Seriously, that just passed puff ball stage, trichome development just started.

This is a classic, even epic, definition of early harvest.

Imo, anything before 10 - 11 weeks of 12/12 sans co2 enrichment is early 99.99% of the time.

Hey man you were on the right track looks like it was relatively healthy when you cut it but that isn't even close to being done. Breeders often say 8-9 weeks when it should really go 10-11 and that is in perfect conditions. If you had less light or higher temps this can add to the flower time. Always let the plant tell you when it is done not the breeder, learn from this grow and improve upon it next time.

thanks for the kind words and tips. i was under the impression that once you started to see amber it was close to harvest time. I also heard harvesting early with clear/cloudy trichs will give more of a head high which is what I like.
Fucking noobs and early harvests. Pisses me off. Whats so hard about being patiet and watching trichomes.

Sorry for being harsh, but seriously, fail.
Learn to speak to people jesus, i'm on this website for helping others and getting help as well no need for that. as i am sure you were once new to the game as well.

Even NEW to the game, I'd post images BEFORE chopping early and ASK.

High is more determined by strain than it is flowering time. You should try a strain like C99 quick flower time and pretty heady also fairly easy to grow, check out female seeds they have one of the best C99 and at really good prices.

Also where did you see Amber on that?

I cut off a few pieces of sugar leaves every week or so and looked through my microscope

Checking trichomes is the last step. Too many newbies go to it first. Checking trichomes is only done after the buds swell, after the calyx's swell and the pistils start to recede. If you're checking before that you're going to see some amber, but mostly clear.

That bud looks no where near done and by chopping it early you have cost yourself probably double the weight, since you chopped it severely early, and the smokes prolly going to be ass too. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets you super paranoid.

Live and learn, but you've effectively wasted two months + now. I think before you go at this again you need to sit back and read about late stage flowering and maybe go threw some folks journals and see what finished fresh buds look like.

I'm not even going to front I took my first harvests early too, not that early though :)

2/10 minimum 3 weeks early probably closer 4-5.

You should feel good about improving from your first grow and getting some bud. If this was flowered 10 weeks and was supposed to be an 8-9 week strain, I would guess you have a weak point in your set up. Looks like it still had 3 or more weeks to go which suggests your buds are developing too slowly so something is probably off or you had bad genetics. So take a hard look at your set up and figure out where your weak spots are and try to improve them.
