Rape culture

It is accepted truth on the left, because it is a plank in their "war on women" fiction, but is it reality? I am quite skeptical.

Why has the left latched on to rape as a fetish?

While almost all of the facts of the U.Va. story were determined to be lies, the central premise of the piece remained, for Columbia and the many journalists analyzing the story's fallout, unexamined and apparently sound: College campuses are predatory environments where all women of a certain age are at high risk (enter dramatic statistics of uncertain provenance repeated by the media). Given such numbers, a significant portion of men on college campuses of a certain age are, it's not unreasonable to conclude, out of control, violent, pathologically misogynistic. It's a war out there.

Just because you think rape is ok, doesn't make it ok sloppy. C'mon man, you should know this.
Just because you rub your dick against an ATF baton doesn't mean your gay, but that is the safe bet. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Now that we have insulted each other, why do you suppose the bogus rape story was printed by Rolling Stone, and why has the left been so reluctant to condemn it? It brings to mind the Duke La Cross witch trial.

ATF agents don't carry batons. So there's that.

Rolling Stone magazine is fearful of being irrelevant, like the Republican Party, so they make shit up to create news and scandal.

Thanks for a civil reply. Rolling Stone is a liberal rag and they know the demographic they appeal to. That demographic has bought the "rape culture" lie in toto. That is the really disturbing part of the UVA rape story, it is a lie in the service of a supposed greater good. The sober amongst us realize that if you have to invent a fantastic lie to push your agenda, then your agenda should be shit canned.

Frightening a generation of young women with scary fairy tales is despicable. Treating rape as an infraction against college rules trivializes a serious crime and victimizes a class of people by denying them due process of law. If a rape is alleged, call the cops and charge a felony crime and let the criminal justice system handle it, as was done in the Duke La Crosse case.

Rape isn't a scary fairy tale. That shit happens more often than you think.

Rolling Stone is known for some of its far fetched articles written by some looney tunes. But, I'd say this story is fairly low hanging fruit in comparison to say... I don't know... cops openly shooting people and getting away with it. Personally I don't read Rolling Stone magazine, I only read Maxim, for the articles.

I'm not saying this solution will work, but something has to be done about rape culture, im sure you can all agree.

If we outlaw the release of hormones by the brain, youngers won't consent to things they will likely live to regret. To solve the problem go strait to the source. Government administered hormone therapy could work.

When I read the title of this thread I thought for sure it was about Afghanistan.
But no, it's just another way Hillary is pushing away Democrat male voters

I'm pretty sure fdd has the power to open and close any thread on the forum. The fact that you would feel the need to get a thread closed in the first place shows where the real butthurt is. ;)

Well, President Obama can order marines to stand down while eye witnessing so called friends of America or Rebels, rape young boys that the Marines say ..."scream sooo loud"... and on the other hand ,..look to his own people and say,..."you can`t do that".... so at least the Democrats allow it.

Sad, but you know what,.. I believe the Marines. All of them.

I would also be kicked out of the Marines for disobeying that Presidential Order.

Remember, nothing, nothing at all, not even that ROE,...goes by the CinC while troops are fighting abroad, maybe at home, but not in a Foreign war. If I know about it,....he has to know about it too.
